plastic dip or paint or buy midnight grill, that's the question.

Normally, when I see ebay listings that blatantly screw up specs and photos, it's a red flag. Assuming you get exactly what you're expecting, that's a pretty good deal. Good luck, bri.

Update: I received the part and it's the correct one. Also, the seller has it on sale now for $143.55.

Congrats, bri! Geeze... $143 is a steal. I wonder how they're doing that.

since we are on the grill topic, does anyone have a how-to remove the grill? I will try painting it.

I would imagine the vinyl would be less prone to chipping than plastidipping. Like people have mentioned, wrapping can be a pain especially if you have never done it before and it can be expensive if done professionally. I plastidipped my grill and I'm glad how it turned out. I run it through the car washes and its holds up perfectly fine.

There is a thread the DIY section that I followed. The key is to bend the rear vertical section of the radiator shroud over the rear-facing pegs (there are some pictures in the thread to help illustrate) and then get the front vertical section of the shroud over the metal platform the shroud sits on (lift the rear and look underneath it to see how it catches on the platform).

I put my midnight grill on. Looks pretty good - I would have preferred matte black but plastidipping seems like too much of a pain and having to redo it from all the chipping. I left the emblem off for now because I may plastidip that.

I bought my car in December, the previous owner painted the front emblem white. I plastidipped it twice already, the first time it came out uneven, second time it came out perfect doesn't even look dipped just flat black on my midnight grill, i want to do the chrome but might just have it painted.
