Nice rims and fitment, Hexotic. And now I know what that VQ|North decal is. Oh, and hey... I heard more than a couple people comment positively on those neck pillows. I realize there's a love/hate reaction to those things, but from what I heard, people liked them.

If you zoom in on my car, you can see a spec sheet on my window that's labeled "Pretentious Douchbag". It's got me re-thinking the whole spec sheet idea. Then again, when groups of people wandered through, they did all stop and read. IDK. Maybe at the PA meet-up in a few weeks I'll try it one more time.

Are you driving down for that? It's probably a 6-hour road trip for you.

This here is one of my favorite pics from the event. Not sure why...

Haha, not my camera work. The guy doing the photos went really hard on HDR filters and it really made the dust on the lens visible.

Unfortunately with my work schedule always being on deadlines, I dont have the liberty to visit many car events that would take me away for more than a weekend. Even if its something I can drive to and then back, theres always side work on the weekends that keeps me planted. More or less stuck this way till I pay off my student loans. Even then, the extra cash coming in is amazing.

Neck pillows, I use for comfort, not for looks lol. I know some people were asking me where to buy them, one guy called them rice bags. Friend of mine ordered a set the night of the BBQ after our little cruise. We left early, and just cruised around windy forest roads for a good hour and a half, he was using my passenger pillow to try it out and loved the comfort.

You must have said the word "hexotic" to me a half dozen times, and I just stared back at you like an idiot. Here I am back on the forum thinking, "Doh!".

Sorry about that.

Help with a question on wheel and tire sizes.

Would a square set of 19x8.5 32 offsets 5x114.3 on 245/40 R19 tires be a good fit?

Yes, those will work well, just be sure to confirm brake clearance if you have the big Akebono sport brakes or plan on getting them. Also you may need hub adapter rings to get the center of the wheel tight to the Infiniti hub, this will lessen the chance of high speed vibration. The Infiniti hub flange is 66.1mm.

Those will have different mounts and may have different rotor thickness.
At a minimum you would have to fabricate brackets to remount these calipers and would have to have them centered perfectly to the rotor since they are fixed calipers. It can be done, I did this for my Wilwood calipers, but requires a lot of legwork. The piston sizing may also be set up for a different bias so you may have to get a proportioning valve to make up for this.
I'd just go this route if you want a big brake set, it will be much cheaper in the long run unless you are a machinist

So I'm coming up on my 45k Servicing and I'm wondering if you guys go to the Infiniti dealers or any trusted garage? I have a personal mechanic before getting my G, but these services seem pretty expensive, yeah I know it's a Luxury vehicle but seems a bit high for some filter changes and such, almost 400 bucks for that, 260+ for a transmission flush, 200 for engine flush and brake flush and the maybe a wheel alignment.

basically I'm wondering (besides DIY) do you guys use only Infiniti dealers anyone you feel comfortable with touching your car?

Lots of guys will go to Nissan dealers to save a couple bucks. Lots of others have trusted local shops. You can check the regional forums to see if anyone mentioned one around you.

For what it's worth. This is my old setup. The setup you mentioned will stick out approximately half an inch more.
