Sometimes I wonder if changing my own oil is worth the fuss yet I still keep doing it. Case in point I guess I ate my wheaties last time I changed my oil because I couldn't get the oil filter to budge (which doesn't make sense since I'm the one who tightened it). After a few frustrating tries I said screw and went and bought an oil filter wrench and of course with one snap of the wrist and it loosened. LOL. The funny thing is I've changed my oil since I was a young punk and I've never had that happen. Oh well, part of the fun, right? At least I didn't have to drill it out..........

Or you could use these, and never worry about it:

Been using these 1" nut-top K&N's on both cars for years now. If it's too tight by hand, the socket wrench effortlessly loosens it.

Mobil one for life but not a big deal anymore since I have the wrench now.

Also, only used the 5 quarts and didn't add the .2 since the line was near full. Going to monitor overtime to see if I'm in fact burning oil but a part of me thinks it had more to do with me using extended performance this time instead of the traditional mobil one grade oil.

Really? Just went to Hilton Head, SC and noticed how much nicer the interstates were maintained in NC than VA and SC.

We had a tough winter (by our standards) in SE VA and it was pothole hell for a good bit of the spring.

I finally got around to installing my R2C this weekend. I'm not 100% happy with how it looks and I will play with the clamps a bit. I also want to paint the stock mounting brackets that were reused. Hope that my engine bay isn't too dirty to post pictures of on here.

That looks like a little chrome skull as a trunk badge, and a big offset fart-can.

Did you laugh or cry? Either reaction would have been understandable.
