Anyone have any tips for easy tint removal ? I got pulled over today for my tints (%35 front and %20 rear). I'm done with being harassed for tints and will just remove my front window tints. Read that people use a fabric steamer or a blow dryer, and wanted to know if anyone tried that before. Thanks.

^ I think I got charged around $20 to remove my front window tint when I was making them darker. Perhaps going to a tint shop may be something you can consider as well.

I went to the shop that installed my tints and they said it would Cost $75 to remove the tint. Figured i'd just do it myself and save the $$ for something so simple that will only take 5-15 minutes.

Wow $75, yeah I would definitely be trying to pull them off myself too! Sounds like heat gun would work according to CC.

A fabric steamer would be best if you have one, because the steam will help remove the tint but will also loosen up the glue making it easier to gently scrape it off. Also if you have a spray bottle with warm water and dish soap (I used Dawn) and a blade carefully scrape the excess glue from your windows. Then I just used Wiindex and newspaper to clean the windows for streak free shine (yes I might get ridiculed by it, but its an old school method to cleaning windows which I prefer) You can get a small portable steamer from kmart for about $20.

Thanks for tip Pedro, I ordered a steamer and it will be here tomorrow and can't wait to get those tints off! In other news, I received my New Black Nickel R2C Intake. Was trying to start putting it together before i head out to the car and noticed that the mid pipe won't be sitting flush against the heat shield from the top bolt due to the rubber around that area. Am i supposed to cut it so that the mid pipe can sit flush against the heat shield?

I don't recall that being a problem. Perhaps they're using larger rubber edge-molding these days? I see you opted for the new Black pop-chargers.

There were a number of issues I had with the R2C kit. Ignore what you can't fix, and fix what you can (like this issue here you're talking about).

Yowza, that's quite the review there, really informative and precise to detail. I couldn't tell if you had the same issue or maybe they just larger rubber molding (don't know why they would). I don't mind making the adjustments to it but it would have been much easier if it was made to spec for bolt on installation. I'll be referencing your link as i go with the installation, you sure went above and beyond which is exactly what you should be doing for these mods.

I tried that at first but it looked like it was glued on but after not finding any answers, i was about ready to cut that rubber lining to fit but ended up prying it up and moved it up a bit and it now fits perfectly. The rubber was simply sitting too low.
