Just started my trim project.

Just started my trim project.
Wanted to change up the washi panels to something a couple shades darker and found the perfect shade IMO, and it's got a machined look to it so it really does look like metal when it's installed. This is the color (and the vendor that I got if from)
Avery SW900 Supreme Wrapping Vinyl Film Brushed Steel Metallic
I used this DIY for removal of parts
DIY: Interior Trim Removal - G35Driver
I've just done the center stack and front dash strips thus far but will be doing all the washi panels and possibly the flat armrest surface (still undecided on that one). The center stack parts took a couple hours, lots of tedious trimming, heating and sealing.
Here's the back of the trim panels just to show the screws involved in removal as the DIY link doesn't show them, and there's a bunch of screws in the back of the stereo panel that you don't remove.
Here's the comparison of the darker vinyl & the oem washi for comparison, the new vinyl is a bit darker in person, which is what I wanted
Here's another comparison shot of the brushed steel wrap
Two front dash strips
This one was an SOB to remove
Looking forward to the Cusco *****, should be here any day.
I'll post more pics when I get the rest of the trim done.
Thanks for looking

For a G with a black interior, yes. But it's fine for Stone or Wheat. Actually, that only applies to 2010+. Prior to that, all the dash plastics were black, regardless of the leather.
Brad, you're going to love, love, love those SS *****. I guarantee it. (BTW, that's CARSMO, not CUSCO, you silly newt.)

As much as I really like my stone interior, I have to say, the black dash/steering wheel looks really sharp with the light grey seats and console. That's the only thing I'm envious of in regards to the 07-09 sedan, too bad Infiniti changed it.

Boy, Newt really has developed some skills with wrap. Some of this work is very impressive. I like how he changed the execution, without really changing the design intent.
THAT'S how you mod, in my opinion. Keep it OEM looking, but customized.

Thanks a lot for kind words, got a couple new pics w/ the front dash panels in my first post, can't wait to get the rest done and top it off w/ the cherry on top (those Carsmos).
I always get so damn nervous working on interior trim, it seems like all the clips and pawls are just a wrong twist away from becoming useless. Luckily the trim DIY is pretty explanatory, the wrapping is simple but all the removal and trimming is what takes the time. Should have it all "wrapped" up on Sunday. I think I will be wrapping those arm rest covers too, stay tuned
