Few years back member Roland958 dyed the stitching in his seats yellow using a DecoFabric pen. Common arts & crafts store item, about $4. Several colors besides yellow are available.

DECOFABRIC : MARVY UCHIDA

Home made cold airs, $75. To Saleen CF brake ducts, two 90 3 inch silicone elbow and air duct mounting plates. I have not dyno'd the car yet but can feel more of a pull up top. Well see on the 25th if there was anything .

I can hear it now. "You paid too much for your car to do cheap mods". The goal here is for inexpensive, cost wise, not cheap looking. I haven't done these mods, but here's what I'm getting at

COST - essentially free

Debadge your trunk. More than likely you'll have all the stuff you need lying around your house. First heat up the emblems by parking your car in the sun or using a hair dryer. Use dental floss to get behind and "cut" off the emblems. Now a little goo gone (even iso alcohol will work), now a quick compounding and wax and you're done.

Cost - $20

Plastidip wheels black. Real easy way to see what your car looks like with black wheels. I would not recommend for the long haul, but definitely good for a few months. I haven't done this to the G, but I did dip my VW wheels at one point.

Please add your own...

Can we get a bump on this? I am fairly new here and looking for some inexpensive mods. love some of these ideas already posted, not sure if there are any other suggestions?

Infiniti G (CV36 & V36) - Carsmo Design

The stock ***** pull off (albeit with some force) and you push the new ones on. Easy and cheap mod.

My supercharged 6mt g37s cost me under $15,000 for EVERYTHING. I'd consider that the ultimate "poor man's" g37. Hit me up with questions.

I saw your vids. Very impressive. I'm trying to pick up a used kit myself.

Nice job...

But I wouldn't call it a "poor man's" anything unless it's easily replicated.
