Ahh I see, this is a first for me to see this type of intake. I don't think it would hurt to get tubes in your case. Would deff look better! Matter of fact I'll have some z1 tubes for sale after Sunday when I'm installing a cai lol I'll post a for sale as soon as I hit 100 comments :/

Until I got the SRI I didn't really car what the belly of the beast looked like, I'll take the walk of shame now

On topic, I think that intake tube would dress up your shorty intake nicely.

Off topic, detailing the engine bay can be another aspect of the hobby, and not an overly expensive one, either. And in particular to the G37, the engine bay is presented in a pretty simple manner, because most everything is covered up anyway. PM me if you want to talk, or we could ***** this thread a little with the OP's permission. Either way.

This made me smile.

Only cuz I love ******, and there's only one thing better than a ***** and that's a cheap one.

But I digress.

Would like to see the test with the filters and the silicon tubes. BUT, what I'd REALLY like to see is a test with that setup VS another RAI or SRAI like injen, K&N...etc to see if the juice is worth the squeeze in getting the setup you're testing.

There's an app call "Torque" for android phone that measure, acceralation/G, engine performance, data logging..etc. You just need a bluetooth ELM/OBD adapter (***zon has it for $24 for example) to communicate with your phone.

Since most newer smart phone has an accelerometer, you can measure the acceleration with this app without the OBD adapter. Poor man dyno lol. Its free and you have something to compare. Just saying

Dragion, all I can find are tubes for 2011. What did you use? Any better than HPS?

Today I was just having some fun with my friend who also owns a 2013 G37x sedan.
We decided to test and see if there was actually an improvement with the Mishimoto intake tubes vs stock.

We replaced his aFe drop in filters with the stock filters.

We performed 6 runs 0-60mph side by side.

We each did 3 runs & then switched drivers.
I ran 3 in his car & he ran 3 in my car and then switched.
The results were...wait for it.......................................DOMO

My G37xS beat his by a half car length each and every time.
Not a drastic improvement, but an improvement!

This wasn't anything scientific or precise measurements, but just to see if there was a change...plus several variables between his G37x and my G37xS.
His is fully stock with Premium package and mine has additional weight with the included 18" sport wheels and exterior body kit.

All in all, I'm happy regarding my decision on the Mishimoto Intake Tubes!

The set of Mishimoto tubes are actually for the 370z...we share the same engine.
In my research, I found out that some tubes need trimming, but mine fit perfectly.
They were very tight and don't leave much room for any movement.

I think there are no difference between the HPS, Mishimoto, Z1 or Cobb...pretty much all the same.
I planned to go with HPS, but found a better deal on eBay for the Mishimoto.

Here is there new listing:

Where did you get the injen Sri from ? I've already got the mishimoto post maf tubes and would love to run the Sri. I've got k&n drop in at the moment and can tell a difference over the stock tubes and the mishimoto.

Sale only last one more day. He typically runs them full price for a week-10days then has another sale. BTW, love my SRI

He's got a different listing for the coupe, maybe some slight differences?
And yes the sedan fitment is the same from 2007 G35s to current 2014 G37 sedans.
Here's the coupe listing
