It's all good, you've got your opinion of what looks "right" regarding Infiniti G sedans, I've got mine~they're quite different but that's what makes life interesting

You can say whatever you want, I don't mind. Besides, I left the door wide open in the OP...

Ironically, I'm also of the opinion that a stock look makes up for the bulk of a good looking car. It's the small little details that I like to look at and recognize them as unique. In this context, I'm going with a small, etched silver decal, which is not at all obvious except in the right light. It looks somewhat professional, IMO. And it's something few people would even know what it means, so mostly it's for me.

But primarily it's because I designed it, so I've got some pride, too.

Just to add another ingredient here, my ’91 Maxima came with the 4DSC sticker on the small passenger rear window, and of course, most owners, including myself never took it off. So one could make a case that it’s exclusively a Maxima badge that is inappropriate on another car.

OT, I came from an '05 Maxima and the G seemed like the natural progression. Now back on topic, I like the decal.

I have a max now, and end of the year will have a G, its natural evolution. .

Absolutely, that's a valid point. If you know what 4DSC is, then you know it should only be on a 3rd gen or 7th gen Maxima.

But I still like it.

That's just wrong. Tell your friend that I said he needs to remove them.

(just kidding)
Honestly I agree with you, but he loves it a little too much! I always point out that he has a Nissan "part" on his car.

Font?

Rochester: I'm looking into creating one of these decals. Do you know what font you used, or is it a custom font?
Looks great btw!

The "DSC" is Goodtimes, which is a common font. But the "4" is something I customized.

Natural Progression.

I had a 95 GXE 5spd, but hated the 118mph speed limiter, so i got a 99 SE 5spd. Had that car for ten years and over 100k miles before moving on to a 2006 G35 6MT (Biggest lemon ever. Traded it after one year for my current G37)

Now while I've been a Nissan/Infiniti guy, wife has been more of a subaru chick. She had a 2006 WRX which she totalled and now drives a 2011 WRX. She also had a 95 240SX at some point a few years ago. That's one car I wish we had kept. Sold it for $2500 six years ago. Could probably get twice that amount for it today.

John, are these still available, and if so could you post the order details (or shoot me a PM if that's protocol) Thanks!

AFAIK, my friend, Ed, will still print them and pop them in an envelope.

Here's the Order information, re-posted again from the middle of this thread. Take note that the tread title is misleading, and referencing an old design he used to print. Last I looked, he was only charging $1 for the order, plus $1 for each decal in the order. (Incredibly reasonable, IMO.)

Shout out if you still need help with this, Newt. And post your pics if/when you get them. The project was my own design effort, so I'd be proud to see them on your car.
