Poll: Is the UPREV Tune worth it?
I have the Berk HFC and R2C CAI and wanted to know if the Uprev (~$600) was worth the price? I have not done a baseline dyno but can get one done. The catback exhaust is not an option so I think I may be done with engine enhancements unless anyone has other ideas?

Exhaust isnt an option because?

you have to be 100% sure about not doing anymore upgrades, ie exhaust. I had HFC and intake and thought i was finish, so i tuned with UPrev. year later i picked up an exhaust, so now i have to retune the car for another 200ish.
if you are completely finish with engine upgrades, uprev would be a toss up. you will probably get a few more hp from the hfc and intake. However, uprev does come with 5 different maps which i thought was really cool. There was a stock map, high octance, flexible map, valet map, and anti theft map.

Had CAI, HFC and Catback installed and then tuned. My experience after an UPRev tune was better gas mileage (approx 3-5 MPG), so that in itself made it worth while for me; not sure if others have seen an improvement with MPG.

Everyone tends to forget that tuning is the most important step in the modification process after the bolt-ons have been installed. If you're calling it quits on adding any other bolt-ons, but still considering the tune then go for it. A custom UpRev dyno tune would be ideal.

I was surprised too; tested on the same stretch of highway(about 10 miles) on cruise control before tune and after tune(2 days later), exact same speed.

i didn't see any better MPG gains, but i added 4.083 gears. despite, tuning's important - i completely agree. it's a custom map that brings your afr (and detonation) to match your car. it just helps the car "run more efficiently"...but like most others, i tuned after i was doing engine mods (intakes, exhaust, test pipes and gears)

From all the reading I have done, and the responses given here the simple answer is YES. UPREV will help increase performance, feel, and most importantly efficiency.
Anyone work with a good UPREV shop in northern New Jersey?
