I have a 2008 G37S with 30K miles on it, and have been noticing an issue starting the car.

It used to be rare, but now it seems to be happening all the time. I push in the clutch, and press the button, but the car goes to just ACC power, and doesn't try to turn over at all. Pressing the button a second time, she starts immediately.

Any idea what this could be?

i have the same car 6mt, sounds like ur not holding the clutch all the way down. its happened to me before specially if im tired i dont realize how far the clutch can actually go lol hope it works out

^Yea. I do this occasionally too. It's like a ritual so sometimes you don't notice, you're not pressing the brake (or clutch in your case) down enough and hitting the button before it realizes you're attempting to start the car.
If it's not that, then idk Maybe you gata "charge" the key? But I doubt it's this...

I also have a 08 G37s 6mt and I'm having the exact same problem. I was telling the wife the very same thing yesterday. Same thing with me, it used to happen every once in a while, but now it happens like all the time. I'm taking it to the dealership on Monday to get it checked out. I'll let you know what I find out. I know the it's not a battery issue in the key, because I just changed it. I jumped off the clutch at the light the other day, and it took like a minute to get it to crank. I also checked to see if there were any recalls regarding this issue. But there weren't

Not sure what the issue would be other than not pressing down the brake of clutch down far enough. Its not a battery issue, because if it was, it wouldn't switch over to ACC, it would say NO KEY.

Instead of guessing, get on your knees out side the car and manually depress the clutch pedal with your hand. Pay attention to the switches the clutch pedal bracket makes contact with. If the pedal is not fully depressing the lower switch (or whatever switch it makes contact with when the pedal is to the floor), then that's an issue. Switch itself could also have gone bad.

I don't recall how accessible the wiring is, but if it is, you can use a dmm to measure continuity with the switch disconnected. If it's not going to the opposite state when the pedal is to the floor, then that's your problem.

I have the same exact problem with my clutch switch. I am going to see if it's adjustable or if the switch is just going bad.

Might be a Nissan thing .... on our Xterra you have to mash the clutch all the way to the floor to engage the switch. Asked once if it could be adjusted and the answer was no.

The clutch pedal switch needs to be adjusted. Take a look at the pedal and look for a switch. The switch must be fully pressed when the clutch is pushed in. You can adjust it after unlocking it with a wrench. Simple fix.

So I just got under there, and the pedel is definitly fully depressing the switch button.

I think I have a faulty switch on my hands. Looks like it's only about $15-$20 bucks, so I can't complain I guess.

I'm having a similar issue. Except mine will go from ACC to ON over and over again. Eventually it will start but I cannot figure out what is fixing it. I have the clutch fully depressed and held during the whole time. I'll look at adjusting the switch tomorrow and see what happens. If someone figures out what exactly if causing the problem please let me know.

UPDATE: I adjusted my switch, and now my car never has this problem. Look up instructions on changing the switch. You'll see how its adjusted, you gotta loosen the lock nut in the back and twist the switch so it comes out further. Small adjustment solved my problems.
