USB to 3.5mm plug, 2011 G37

Is it possible to get an adapter that will allow me to play audio through the USB input on the 2011 G37?

I am not sure that would work. It is made for devices that accept USB headphones/earphones with a USB connector. The G37 system is NOT designed to accept headphones/earphones at its USB port. It is designed to read USB drive and/or iPod.

I was also under the impression that only and iPod and a Fat32 USB drive would be read by the vehicle system.

Please share.
Thanks

Bluetooth streaming does not work (although the owner's manual says it works with some phones in cars with Nav). Using the USB mini jack on the phone to the USB jack in the console does not work for streaming (although it does seem to find music files on the phone). This was my last hope.

The GROM Audio website says it is important to note that the Satellite receiver in the trunk will need to be disconnected since the adapter emulates satellite. Not an option for me since I use XM.

The output of the 3.5mm jack on your phone cannot be converted to the USB input on the car. The USB input is reading digital files off a disk, whether it's an ipod/iphone or flash drive. You can however add a 3.5mm aux input adapter by tapping into the XM module in the trunk. I did it and it was moderately difficult and produced sound that was too quiet. I'm still trying to find a way to amplify the line level output of the phone, although that could lead to reduced quality.

I have a 2011 G37X with Technology Package and have been streaming Pandora and Tune-in Radio using my Droid Razor. Make sure the phone is connected to the Bluetooth and select Bluetooth Audio as a source from the radio. No USB cord needed. This will eat up your data unless you have unlimited.

Yes Bluetooth audio streaming would solve our problem but some of us don't have the Bluetooth audio streaming option in our G's.
