Infiniti Maintenance Plans
has anyone here purchased an Infiniti Maintenance Plan?
if so, which one and are your satisfied with it?
I just got a G37x 3 weeks ago and bought the Elite Schedule 2 plan:
http://www.infinitiwarranty.com/PDF/...plan-page3.pdf
also, my dealer has a valet service, free of charge, that comes and gets my car (I live an hour away) to do the service work, leaving me with a loaner and brings my car back. Anyone else have this service from their dealer?

I bought the Deluxe 1 and am happy so far. My dealer is closeby but I get a free loaner for every service. I got Deluxe instead of Elite because there was a significant price increase for basically just the air filter (engine and cabin) and I can do those myself, and I got the shorter interval 1 because I felt the 7500 interval was a bit longer than I wanted. Either way it seems like a good deal by prepaying for the service.

All Im saying is that Im glad that I have my hook at the dealer, my wife use to work finance before moving up the chain. These "plans" is how the dealer makes their money and alot of it too. Dont ask for specifics either bc I dont know

Got the Deluxe 1 plan. At the time I felt it was a decent price to pay for oil changes and getting tire warranty. Also it helps to have a relationship w/ the dealer in case other things go wrong. IMO they'll treat you better if the service dept. knows you.
But, it worked out better due to the ester oil issue. My dealer includes ester oil at no cost w/ my plan. Considering $10/qt price for that oil, I think I did very well.

i'll answer this for my Elite 2 plan if that helps any.
As part of the incentive to buy my G37x that day, the sales manager gave me 40% off the regular price for the Elite 2.
I paid $600.
Couldn't pass it up.

get a good price for it and it's all worth it
I mean I dunno what you plan to put in your car but ester oil is $12/qt and you need quite a few of them, add the oil filter on top of that and the cost to you is pretty close to 100 bucks before you even start changing your oil
you you want to save money you can do without the major service but dude go w/ the premium service it'll add like what 8-10 bucks to your monthly?

Thanks for the response, Blitzebill. What part of the country are you in?
mw09g37 says "get a good price and it's all worth it". But the question remains: how do you determine what a good price is? Maintenance contracts are notorius throughout the industry as profit padders, or fluff. So what's the lowest anyone has paid for a deluxe (Elite 2?) maintenance package?

For the premium
cost of oil changes 4 times a year for 6 years. and add the cost of the 60k service. is a fair price IMHO. ester oil @ 11.50/qt
for elite 01 plan (oil changes only) should be just over like half that.
elite 02 should be cheap cause it's 2 changes a year only.

everyone here talks about the Ester oil.
I asked the service manager at my dealer about Ester oil. He said it is only used for G37s that have noisy valves. He did not recommend it for every oil change or every G37. and he made a point about that.
otherwise they use a Castrol synthetic 5W30.

... and noisy valves are a result of... ha just kidding.
what was his reason about not using ester oil for every change?
I think synthetic is what you should be doing, the esteroil is essentially synthetic with the ester additive. shoot if your service manager treats them equally, ester is the more expensive oil. =P

cause if it is elite 2 it sounds like they gave you cost + the manufacturer Lease incentive... on your next infiniti.. hmmm

he said it wasn't necessary to use Ester except for those special situations that need it. he knew of the expense and said if my valves were quiet, no need to use it.
