i just bought a 2011 g25x and this model is not offered navigation.. i would prefer something that could be intergerated.. does anyone know if you bought the complete navigation unit off ebay would it work?

Yes you can buy a complete navigation unit. But it will cost an upward of $1000+ dollars.

Futhermore, we don't know if the navigation unit will fit on the G25. Because the G25 is designed without Navigation in the first place.

Maybe someone that done this before can tell you more.

i found a complete unit for around 500 screen and everything.. has anyone heard of Icon navigation? it T harnesses into the factory but then you use a switch to turn it on and off..

I use my Droid X for Navigation. My 2009 has aux input. So when I switch to AUX I can here Pandora Radio and Turn by Turn directions on Navigation by Google Maps. Unfortunately the new G does not have Aux ports. Unless they added them in the 2011 model. By the way I have the Premium package but no Navi. At first I regretted not getting the Navigation, but there was a work around and Google Maps rocks.

yeh i have the iphone, but u know sometimes u need gps and you have no service and having it integrated it better.. my car does no have the aux inputs..

Go to a Car Audio store. There are a number of systems out there that have Nav and Satellite radio. My wife just bought a Jensen for her Dodge 2500. The only thing it does not do is allow her to use the controls on her steering wheel. It did come with a remote though.

I don't know about the g25, but you can't just rip out the factory stereo on the g37. A lot of functions are built in to it.

As I recall, it is not as simple as replacing one unit with another to get nav working. Do a search, supposedly it's hard and expensive to do.

I agree, the cost involved, assuming is possible, would be astronomical. It'll make you wish you had gotten a G37 with Nav.

Plus the nav package is more than just the navigation/traffic/weather system itself. Includes much larger (around 5 times)storage for musicbox, additional voice commands, and I think a higher-res screen and DVD viewing as well.

Even if you find one...it might not be working as nice as the one that comes with the car.
