Miles Per Gallon Feedback

Rochester FWIW, I don't think I've ever reset the MPG calculation in the car. Ever. At 25K miles now, and have always been at 18.5 mpg, give or take a half mile. It is what it is, and we all knew that when buying the car. At least, we should have.
This thread is dumb, and I'm dumb for posting here. But I'm bored so WT

Frankly its been a great car for me, though the mileage is still somewhat disappointing, as i have friends with cars running more hp and getting better or same. im currently averaging 20 and that is due to cooler weather here in FL so no AC on and i guess that makes a ~2 mpg difference as in summer months im getting ~18.
hey, if the topic is boring , then such members should just pass and not post

Around 12.5 mpg on my city commute (3 miles one way with ten traffic lights and five stop signs!), average speed 15 miles/h.
I just tested the highway mpg and found it's pretty good: 25.4mpg at average speed 66.5 miles/h.
So G37x really sucks at low speed stop and go traffic. Well, my previous 2000 Accord LX 2.4L is only 2-3mpg better than G37x on the exact same city commute.

California (Inland North County San Diego to Newport Beach and back), so I'm averaging around 75-80 mph during these stretches. If I could go 60-65 mph, my guess is that MPG would improve slightly (maybe not since the 7AT has some tall gearing). Impossible here though as you will get run over going that slow. Again , per the other post, 17 mpg going back and forth to work on city streets with hills and ~12 traffic lights to pass through, most of which are Red because it's mostly residential. All stock, 20K miles.
In Infiniti's defense, not bad for a car with 11:1 compression, port based injection, that can hit 60 mph in 5 seconds.
Also, our fuel is heavily treated to meet strict EPA/emission standards. I lived in Texas for a few years and my 04 ran alot better on TX fuel (I also lived in CA with this car, so the comparison was easy). Better mileage/performance, etc. California should be a worse case scenario for mileage.
