6MT-I am averaging 20.4 right now with a heavy right foot and mostly city driving. I am not disappointed at all coming from a '14 Evo that I was lucky to get 17 mpg driving like your grandmother. I am curious to see as I modify the exhaust and intake if the mpg will improve much. I accelerate "quickly" through 3rd and then skip shift to 6th when speeds permit.

FWIW, I don't think I've ever reset the MPG calculation in the car. Ever. At 25K miles now, and have always been at 18.5 mpg, give or take a half mile. It is what it is, and we all knew that when buying the car. At least, we should have.

This thread is dumb, and I'm dumb for posting here. But I'm bored so WTH.

That part right there, it's amazing how many people are concerned about a few mpg's when buying a car like this.

Are those city miles? If 50/50 combined I have to say it's pretty ****ty milage.
On highway you can get 25mpg on g37x. RWD with 7at will give you 28mpg, some people get 30mpg with cruise control set up below 80mph.

Effectively, yes. Almost exclusively Suburban/Urban driving. Highway runs are mostly just hop on and hop off. Just like every other G here, I'm sure it would get 25+ with cruise control on a highway road trip, which I almost never take.

But Michael, I also don't care. My point in commenting here was simply to declare 18.5 mpg, as calculated by the car over 25,000 miles without a reset.

Well I never expected amazing mpg in fact highway mpg is better than I thought given I have the 5at (sucks because I get that good mpg below 65mph).

However city mpg is much worse than I thought. Of course definition of city driving changes and I know that in some places I can achieve close to 25 in "city". Where I live though is another story, stop sign or lights at every block, and it is full of hill climbs. I can easily get 10-13 if I dont try hard. I am sorry but 10 is V8 muscle car category, you will be having a hard time finding a new car or suv returnng such bad mpg. For reference a friend has previous gen nissan murano and gets 18.5 in city consistently(and that is no slouch with 260hp and it is a heavy vehicle) without trying and i believe the new one gets 2-3 mpg better. Now that's disappointing...

I've only used 1 tank of gas since I bought this car. Did the ECU reset and I drive probably 60% city and 40% highway on my daily commute. So far I'm getting right at 20.5mpg. That's using the divide miles by gallons method and not the computer.

I've yet to take this car on a road trip but looking forward to seeing the results.

Obviously when you buy this type of car, you're not really worried about mpg and you know what you're getting yourself into. (ie. buying lots of gas and using lots of gas while you smile at the sound your engine makes).

My wife's Mazda CX-9, which we've had for around 2 years now averages 18City/25Hwy using the same miles/gallons calculation. I figure as long as this new (to me) G does better than that then I'm happy. haha!

I average 19.9 in city driving, light traffic as I'm in Oklahoma City. I've gotten as high as 30 plus in highway driving with cruise control. Got it at 84 mph on trip to Houston. Checked it by trip computer and at next fill-up. Typically get 28-29 on highway. It's a 2012 G37 with 22k miles.

That mileage is using 100% gas, no ethanol. We're lucky in Oklahoma, last fill-up was at $2.75 per gallon.
