I have found the the computer MPG in between the tachometer and speedo overestimates MPG by almost exactly 1 MPG. Meaning, if it says you're getting 23 MPG, you're actually getting around 22 if you do the math on miles driven vs. amount of gas you purchased.
With 93 octane, my car has averaged 22.7 MPG in the 12,000 miles that I've driven the car. Since there are two MPG computers, I have one that I never reset, and the other I reset every tank of gas. On individual trips, I've found that in the Summer you can get 29-30 MPG on a long highway trip going 70-80 MPH. In the winter, I was only able to get around 25-26 going the same speed in 10-20 degree (F) weather.

I'm getting 13 MPG City in my sedan. I'm trying to drive like a grandma but that doesn't help. I just installed new filters and the car still has the stock Good Year 18" All season tires they still have about 30% of tread. Of course using Shell V-power only. I don't get it... Any suggestions?

i get roughly 17-18 mpg on surface streets plus freeway (not to forget the lovely stop and go traffic in LA).
my last tank i only got about 15 mpg, but i was driving around town with a pretty heavy foot on the throttle. if i try to granny drive it to get the most mpg, ive gotten around 20-22 mpg, but that really takes the fun and joy out of my driving experience.

City 80% of the time and job it's 10 mins away from home. Yesterday I did a quick 20 mile drive in highway and my car did 30MPG!! I was amazed lol, I guess G37's like high and stable speed only... not stop and go... I fill it up every week with Shell V-Power Nitro Plus. ($55)
