Wiper Refills Important Fact

Just thought I'd share this little fun fact with all my fellow G-Men looking for the best deals.

The brand "MITSUBA" is apparently the OEM rubber wiper manufacturer for multiple Japanese brand car makers. After a little digging and calling, I found out that the corresponding wiper blade refills that most of us have to order from the dealership (if you like to replace just the inserts) are THE EXACT SAME from Honda.

The corresponding part numbers are:

Driver side is Honda #76622-STK-A02 (aka Mitsuba MOB2-S2-105 650mm).
 https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00BFDG118/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00BFDG118/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Passenger side is Honda #76632-SWA-J02 (aka Mitsuba MOB2-S2-085 425mm).
Amazon Amazon

$5.55 and $7.06 respectively on Amazon.

You can verify these numbers fact by just looking at the fine print model number on the rubber blade on your OEM blades...just thought I'd share.

**********UPDATE*******************

Just received these and did the install and here are some pictures of the product. ITS A PERFECT FIT!!!!!

Wrapper and parts numbers.

Side by side comparison from new blade (at top) to old.

Nice cross reference, I was getting mine from another site using Nissan part #s and the price was about the same, but always nice to have other sources

IIRC the coupe & sedan use different part #s, but my memory isn't the greatest

And IMO keeping the factory arms intact is best in function & looks.

FYI, the TRICO Flex 1-piece beam wiper side loads just like the factory blade and is around $13.

for that price and the fact that it stays low on the windshield like the stock ones, i don't think its even worth farking around with refills.

Call me cheap, but to collectively save almost $10-$15 just by replacing ONLY what NEEDS to be replaced on a car that can have VERY expensive simple parts is a steal to me.

Just sharing the knowledge!

i understand, but if you want or need to replace them immediately and not wait for Amazon shipping, the TRICO Flex's are a good option. ordered an air filter and cabin filter for my wife's car from Amazon 2 weeks ago, and they still haven't arrived yet.

call me lazy, i'll pay the extra $10 to avoid the hassle.

Wish I had read this before I made a purchase this week. Inserts from Markham Infiniti were $23.93 and $18.90 (Canadian dollars). They asked me to come in and prepay as it was not in stock.

The local Nissan dealer quoted something in the same ballpark and couldn't even keep a straight face. And that was before I asked do people usually pay this or walk over to Canadian Tire (across the street)?

I don't find that the current plastic OEM frames hold up particularly well. Springs get weak, wiper pressure becomes uneven, not much a new blade will do to fix that.

I just changed mine a couple weeks ago. If I remember correctly you just have to pull with a little force in either direction. There are no real locking tabs like the old school blades. When you install the new refill you should feel it sort of snap in place.
