Thanks for all of the replies guys. I actually am going to look at a different g37 on saturday. It's an 08 G37s with 56k miles. A guy I knew in high school owns it and he's always taken car of all of his vehicles. Really clean and it's in great shape. I'll be sure to ask about the slave cylinder and the paper gasket issue.

My '08 has just turned 91K. The only mechanical issue was the tranny at 69K miles. I had some slight grinding going into 5th gear. Infiniti replaced the tranny under warranty. I also replaced my cats with FI R-HFC, around 67K, because the OEM's were rusting/rattling. I had the steering wheel paint chipping problem, but replaced it with a new one. I intend to keep this car for a loooong time. Gas mileage isn't the greatest, around 27 on a trip, but the car is a great cruiser and I don't mind the extra $$'s using premium.

Here she is! My brother also picked up an 06 G35 coupe this weekend as well. This 37 is so clean and drives so nicely! It was straight piped from the axle back but I already swapped the stock muffler back on so if anyone wants custom made bolt on straight pipes let me know! I have no use for them. On my way back out to school i was averaging 29.8 mpg! So much better than the 14mpg I was used to in my wrangler
The only issues with the car that I noticed is one of the front rotors are warped, which wasn't the case when I test drove it, and now that the exhaust isn't loud I can hear a slight whine from the alternator. I'm mechanically inclined so doing maintenance and repairs are not a concern for me. Besides those two things the car is mint!

Right on man! Sounds like a great outcome. I'd just replace the rotor and grab an alternator and replace it when you get a chance, they tend to slowly go out until one day you just cant keep the battery charged. Sounds like you know what you're doing though. Love white!

Thanks Kris! I'm Chris also lol. I love your car! Already went through your build thread. What brand rotor would everyone recommend for my car? It has the Akebono's on it. I'm considering going with drilled and slotted to avoid warping again and they look nice lol

Thanks dude. I say just grab one OEM rotor BUT, if you want to upgrade them anyway then yeah, get slotted rotors. I think the best bang for the buck for high quality rotors are Baer Decela rotors and they look sick! Match those with some stainless lines and Hawk 5.0 Pads and you'll never rear end anyone, ever. Then again, nothing wrong with Stoptech.
