Torn between OEM pads and aftermarket pads?

Torn between OEM pads and aftermarket pads?
So I need to swap out my pads as they're pretty much at the end of their life cycle. I have an incredible amount of brake squeal at the moment (don't know if its due to the pads being toast or from the quality of the pads) but nonetheless, I need some input on possible options please. I searched around and found some info but not enough to be able to narrow it down to one pad brand. I was told by a reputable shop by me that OEM pads tend to cause the squeal and I was told by another reputable shop that OEM pads tend to be the quietest. So I'm not sure what to believe? I have a G37S and tend to drive/brake pretty hard from time to time although I don't need extreme performance pads for the track so with that being said, suggestions with what I should go with? What are your guys' experience?

Akebono?
Centric Posi-Quiet?
OE?
Thanks in advance !

^^I have what ever the car came with. It's actually pretty decent for oem. I would like a bit more initial bite though.

OP, just be sure whatever pad you end up with be sure to bed them in properly. Some of the OEM type pads aren't as critical in that regard but the performance oriented pads require an intense bed-in. You won't get proper bite/performance without bedding in the pads as per the manufacturers procedure(s).
