Hello! I'm new... I had a few questions regarding the g37!
Hello everyone! I just joined up on the forums.
I finally got my 2008 g37s coupe shipped to the island of Hawaii from Oahu! Love the car, it completely met my expectations and then some.
I had a couple questions regarding the car...
So I've read that the G37 is the american/canadian named version of the skyline 370gt...? What I want to know is if there is any difference between the two. besides the name/badges?
My next question is about my car specifically... Which is an automatic g37s coupe. It accelerates great and drive great. But there was one instance today when I accelerated really fast from a complete stop and towards the end of the acceleration at about 40-50 mph I let off on the gas and the car kind of lost throttle/rpms for a second and then lurched forward and gained rpms again, then lost power for a split second again and then rpms kicked in and it lurched foward again... Did I make a rookie mistake that caused this to happen? when I accelerated I probably brought it up to 5k-6k rpms and then around 40-50ish I let off on the acceleration (almost all the way) because the highway stretch I was on was 45mph speed limit. Could this be a mechanical issue that only becomes apparent during quick accelerations from a complete stop? Throughout the day I was accelerating medium-fast while merging onto the highway and from other stop lights but when I noticed this issue it was definitely the fasted acceleration I did with the vehicle of the day.
Sorry for wall of text, kind of hard to explain!

Oh and one more questions regarding my spoiler!
I have a stock small silver spoiler, looks just like this:
But I want to change it to the larger stock spoilers I've seen on G37's which are wider (or longer from side to side) which look like this:
Will my trunk lid be compatible with the wider style spoiler?
Are there any good places I can purchase one, preferably OEM, in the stock silver paint color (instead of the chrome, aluminum color or my current one.)?

The OEM spoiler is the best, it cost more than it should but lots of posts from lots of people who have had problems with fit/finish of 3rd party ones (there are some success storys but they are the exepction). Again, search .... Buy from Infiniti, soem dealers offer online shoping.

Aloha!!! and welcome to the forum! congrats on the new ride!
I`d go with what 2008G-Man said, fitting and color match would be better from the dealers, I`m about to do that in a couple of months, after I get my custom wheels.
