i was hoping someone might be able to help me out - i am considering buying a compact flash card to transfer music onto my g37s harddrive. is this possible? from what i understand, you can only put 512 songs on the compact flash and play from it, but you cannot RECORD the songs onto the harddrive like you can with cds.

also, if i buy a compact flash card, will i also have to buy a compact flash reader to transfer songs from my laptop to my compact flash card (assuming my laptop does not have a compact flash slot)? I have a sony vaio vgn-nw265f, and i dont think it has a compact flash slot.

any help is greatly appreciated, thank you!

No, you cannot. Only from CDs.

Jus like Modme said, you can only do it from the Cd's not the Compact Flash.
