well the key word in the title is "around 400". i realize its not something easily done for 2k but definetly can be. even if i gain 70hp thats still huge. based on prices most ppl on here see, absolutely nothing can be done with 2k. ppl on this forum rip others off HARD. it makes me mad almost. a chip itself gives atleast 50hp no matter what.....so i think you're the one exaggerating a lil. just saying. and plus knowing a few ppl in the business is always nice

You do realize our car is naturally aspirated right? Where is the chip you are wanting to get?
Maybe get a couple of plastic vents and a stick on roof scoop...
Seriously though. Unless you want to go with eBay special knockoff stuff. You are looking at $1000-1700 for exhaust. Gen 3 intake $500. High flow cats $500.
$2000 done... Then find another $500-700 for a tune.

I wish HP could add up the way you added them up, but sounds like you need a little more experience. No offence.

Doesnt work that way junior. Any one of those mods MAY get you the HP you listed but they do not all give that much when combined. Plus there is no "chip" for our car. Even if there was it would not do much because your car in NA.

Ehhh NO it can't.

Do some research guys. The best you are going to get from a NA car with all those mods and a tune is MAYBE 320 or so. Nitrous is the only way you will even come close for that kind of money.

This is easy, sell your car, buy a non-luxury performance car, such as a v8 domestic or a turbo 4cyl. Seriously, you bought the wrong car to try to get big cheap gains out of.

And while I'm new to this crowd, I feel confident in saying there's no way you're getting 50hp out of a tune in a N/A car.

Ask thiis guy, he's makin some good power from just an intake and a grounding kit.......

But realisticly, my X coupe has a true dual catback exhaust, berks hfcs and a set of stillen gen 3's with a tune and I made about 60 horse over stock, at the wheels.

Invidia Q300 True Dual Catback Exhaust - 750 (new)
Stillen Gen 3 Intake - 350 (used)
Berks HFC's - 440 (new)
UpREV Tune - 650

Just over 2 grand there.

The G37 Is just not a beast like that. You need to put in $$$$ to get numbers like that. Its a luxury coupe. It technically isnt even considered a sports car. **** I love my G more than I loved my M3 its just not a 400hp bolt on car. Plain and Simple. You need some F/I to get that.

Plus...Never cheap out on mods on a 45K+ car...You don't want your $100 ebay intake ****ing up your car. Spend the money, do it right..

NOS would be you best best if you want to go cheap. It will give you 400. But you might want to spend a little more.

I have to agree that, you can't add the hp numbers like you(OP) stated. I used to think of that at first when i started modding my TSX..

Ends up, not close. lol. From my point of view, if every parts HP adds up to 100hp, then you might want to divide it by 2... At least thats what happened when i mod the TSX.
And I didn't know there's a chip for our G that can make up to that 50-70hp range.. @@ Do you know any brands??

*facepalm* Did you even read the thread? That is on a generous dyno and not at the wheel so not relevant.
