Vert for mom

So my mother has decided to finally buy a convertible. My brother found this 2013 base model so I went with her today to drive it. It seems well maintained, the power seemed spot on, brakes were good (I have the usual shake in my G), etc.
I have a few questions-

There was water staining on much of the rear part of the head liner, both sides. Is this normal? I was thinking maybe if you got caught in the rain it could get wet. Does this suggest it is/has leaked in the past?

There were 2 scrapes/dents on both sides of the roof, 4 spots, and we learned they occur when the top is dropped. The dealership (Honda) said they would fix it and look into adjusting the roof. I saw in a post it was mentioned, but search brought up nothing. I'm guessing I don;t know the lingo for what these are called and i'm guessing they are a common problem. Anyone know how this is fixed properly? You can fix the paint everyday but if you don't fix the problem they will return.
EDIT - I found they are referred to as snake bites. After reading the horror stories about this issue I am more hesitant about telling her to buy this. I didn't know the roof had so many issues.

We got them down to $23,000. Link below. Seem like a good buy? They are replacing the driver fog light trim that you can see missing in the pictures. Sorry for the newb questions, i'm only informed on the sedans...Thanks!

Hello there! Glad you decided to ask. I can share my experiences.

1) Stain headliner; my headliner is also stained on the two sides away from the back window. I bought my car used as well but there's been no leaks back there. The quickest way to spot/find a leak is run it through a car wash. I know I know, the world is going to come out and talk about all the reason why this is bad for the paint, car, etc, but with the amount of water that's put on the car and the big air dryers blowing on the car it will force water into places it should go. Once done, look for leaks.

2)Scrapes/Dents; the only place on the top that should be nicked is a small area on the back at the bottom beside the window. The're a small plastic guard that should be protecting the top and paint. I'll see if I can take a picture of the area tomorrow. All other spots should be easily buffed out.

3) "fixing top" << I seriously doubt that dealership can do it. Most Infiniti dealerships won't touch the top besides doing a reset. They have to call in a specialist to fix issues with the top.

Well, that's all I've got. If you think it's a good, go for it. If you're having second thoughts, there's enough posts here to completely terrify you lol. I love my 'vert and you won't find many people that don't. It's an amazing vehicle.

Thanks for the reply! The car is for my mom and will be a 2nd car/weekend. I'm enjoying my sedan and hauling my 1yo around in that.
I'm not terribly concerned about the stains or potential leaks, I know these are a part of owning a vert. It will be garaged most of the time and it will mostly only be driven in nice weather.

It has 2 (4 dents total) snake bites on both sides. We know they are being caused by a bracket that the top lays on when folded down. It seems dealerships aren't easy to work with to fix this issue and I think the car has limited time on original warranty and wanted to advise my mom to take it there and have it checked so it doesn't continue to happen.

I think it's a great car, shows no sign of damage and I do think they are giving her a good deal. The numbers guy is a friend of my parents and said flat out he will be "taking a bath" on this sale haha. They have had it on the lot for over 90 days so there is some desperation to move this car which she used to her advantage.

Well she text'd me earlier to say they settled on a price. Nice to have another G in my family! I'll post some pics when I get a chance, although it looks like the rest of them.

Congrats on the vert! I don't think I've seen the "snake bites" on mine.. And not even sure what could cause those - maybe take a pic? I know the rubber stops that the roof drops onto can wear out, but should be easily replaced.

Take through a touchless wash is definitely a good test. I always get a couple of drops in the back, but it doesn't bother me much. During regular rain driving there are no leaks so I'm content with it.

Just for comparison, I picked up a 2013 Sport model, it had 14,800 miles on it, for 28K. Of course I have had it a few weeks and the damn roof won't open, although it worked fine initially. Any ideas anyone? Thanks.

Did you hit the switch in the glove by mistake?

Is there a security switch in the glove box? Seems like something I should be aware of when mom calls and says her roof is broken! (I am the family mechanic/computer guy)

There is. It stops the trunk from opening, thus stopping the top from functioning.
