JDM Multi-function Blue Mirror

This is the reason I try to stay off the Japanese websites (for anything)... they just got all sorts of random goodies.

The JDM Multi-function Blue Mirror does the following:
  1. anti-glare
  2. hydrophilic
  3. wide-angle

Oh yeah, it has a tiny laser-engraved NISMO logo on the bottom (which is a slight deterrent for me).

I'm really just trying to wrap my mind around the pricetag (~$180 USD) for 2 lenses that stick onto the side mirrors via double-sided tape.

If it was a direct replacement to the side mirrors, I would understand, but it's not. I don't know the extent of the double-sided tape (e.g. full lining v left/right edges or top/bottom edges, etc), or it's weather resistance.

Anyone have any insight on this?

Coming from someone whose been hit by the mod bug and seems like I've been buying everything in sight for my car these past 2 months... I honestly think I'd pass on it. As you said if it was a direct replacement then I'd CONSIDER it but ehhhh lol

Dobyou plan on pulling the trigger on a set of these? I'd be really curious to get some hands on feedback about these mirrors

strong chance I will... it's not too much $$$ to part ways with, and no real labor involved.

I'm guessing it's gotta have fully-lined adhesion on its reverse for it to work; otherwise, I'd imagine it falling off eventually just from weather exposure, or from one of those brushless carwashes even. After inspecting the mirror itself, there is ample recess in the trim to prevent (easy) peeling (provided the double-sided is in fact fully-lined) *sigh*

I'll have it in a few weeks, 2 months tops. Waiting on my JDM winkers (side mirror turn signals) to come in. Get it all done together.

These look similar to the Carbign Craft convex mirrors that are available for the G35. I had a set on my G35 and really liked them - the increased field of view is very noticeable and helpful. They're secured to your current mirror with two strips of double sided tape so the install is straightforward. The tape was still holding firm after 5+ years when I removed them last fall. Unfortunately, G35 mirrors have a different shape otherwise I would have put them on my G37.

I looked for a set of the mirrors in the OP when I was in Japan for autosalon a few months ago. Unfortunately, I could only find one side. At $180 a pair, they're not cheap, but our cars do have bad blindspots.

Thank you, sir, for filling in the gaps.

I feel less hesitant moving forward now

Keep us posted when you pull the trigger on these! I'm really curious how they turn out. When do you plan on purchasing a pair?

Put in the order today. I'll give it a few weeks.

The winkers are already delayed. I'm just hoping I'm not waiting on one over the other too long.

Just wanna knock out these mirror at once... but with this waiting around, I'm looking into the side cameras and clear headlamps

need to stop the frivolous shopping

The "winkers" are what the OEM side mirror turn signals are called in the JDM catalog:

I'm doing that for sure along with the blue mirror upgrade; however, things take so long, I get bored, then I look for other random JDM oem enhancements, hence the side mirror camera and clear sidestrip in headlamp housing mentioned above.

I've seen those before but I've never seen this one... Whats this picture of? Actual cameras on the side mirrors? What would they be used for? Idk why I think this is such a cool idea! Lol I may have to jump on this one!
