DIY - Hella Horns
Bought the Hella Horns.
Took the red part off and painted black.
Installed in front of radiator on radiator support bracket - hole was already there.
I ran all new wiring as I wanted to keep my stock horn.
I added a new horn button - bought from otrattw.
Tips:
1. Hella makes a toggle switch so you can install hella horns with stock horn and switch back and forth (I didn't use that)
2. I found a factory hole through the firewall inside the brake reservoir part of the engine - I used that
3. I removed the blank next to the emergency brake. Not the most convenient location, but I didn't want to hack the dash and I wanted a clean look.
Hella horns are loud, but strange. They do get attention. Attached are some pics of the new horn switch.
