Akebono BBK for vert
#3
If you can find someone selling a factory sport set, that would work nicely.
Calipers/mounting brackets and like redfire said save money. They bolt up, you don't have to change (master cylinder), or worry about how much power (vac-break booster) to power them to get the stopping benefits. Plus they are a good set engineered for the cars supporting components. Rotors likely for you application are not too pricy (single piece slotted, stay away from drilled iron rotors, they only look sporty lol) so start new and bed them in with a quality set of pads. Also because you'll need to bleed it all, maybe think of putting on steel lines and you'll have much better feel but its not necessary.
Im sure the verts weigh more so you'll really like how this upgrade turns out for you. Kudos, that's a smart upgrade, and the akebono calipers have fantastic power, initial bite and surface distribution/contact with the pads and rotors.
O make sure your wheels will have the clearance with the bigger calipers.
Best of luck and let us know how she turns out.
Cheers
