Spoiler update

My phone's been dead A LOT lately during the day... but I'll post a pic hopefully tomorrow while the sun's out.
Bright side, they did a MUCH better job getting much of it off. The outline is still there, but pretty faint, which I can live with compared to what I saw originally.
I did wish I was able to snap a pic originally, so you could see the before & after.
If nothing else, just a word of caution. I can't imagine being only person who might've been affected by it.

I bet it is just like when you de-badge your car. depending on how long it was on there you may have at least a shadow in the paint. especially black. Try Youtube for some debadging videos and maybe some of those hints can help. that is the only reason I havnt tried to take the INFINITI off the back of mine.

I have a 2011 liquid platinum vert and put the spoiler on over the weekend. Had a similar issue where you could see the outline of the original antenna mount in the paint. Looked more like an impression than a residue. The instructions said something about a heat gun so I used a hair drier on high for about 5 minutes and that seemed to get rid of the outline.

Long time no speak peeps! I've returned after all these years. I still have my gun metal G37S convertible and love it. But I have this burning question issue that been keeping me up nights for the past 9 years! Since I added that OEM factory spoiler the deck lid won't stay open and has to be held open by hand. Do I need to install heavier lift cylinders? What's the solution for this?

I have the OEM Spoiler and just replaced mine and they work great.

After 9-years or so it is safe to say the original supports are shot regardless of the spoiler. The 'Vert spoiler kit did not include the "heavy duty" supports like those that came with the Coupe kits. The 'Verts came from the factory with the heavier duty supports due to the extra weight of the deck lid from the various roof mechanisms.
That said, the p/n for the OEM 'Vert TRUNK supports is 84430-JJ51A and will run ≈$60. each. There are plenty of aftermarket options out there just MAKE SURE that the TRUNK supports are specifically for the 'Vert. The front hood supports are interchangeable with the Coupe's and sedan's, the rears are not.
Congrats on 9+ years... the car looks brand new! Lucky duck...
