Another Tanabe review..

About a week ago I ordered the Tanabe axle-back for my Sedan (thank you Amazon). Got it installed Sat morning. Today was the first real day I drove it....a few observations.

1) the sound is DEEP. Much deeper than I expected. Low rpm's have a subtle but deeper rumble. Higher RPM's sound a bit like a stock coupe's exhaust.

2) It is not loud by any stretch of the imagination. It is just a touch louder than stock. I have read that it gets a little louder after @500 miles...we will see. So far I have driven about 40 miles with it

3) I'm not completely in love with the large exhaust tips. The design is sweet - but just wish it was about .5" smaller in diameter. I believe they are the same width as the stock exhaust - but round. This is minor to me - and I am sure it will grow on me.

4) Fit and finish was excellent. They installed perfectly centered. Installation was drama-free.

Overall - initial impression is positive for me. Just a bit more sound - no risk of any low-rpm drone - and nothing that will get too much attention from the local law enforcement.

FYI - Amazon sells them for $604 + tax. That is the best price I could find for new. Free shipping too. Enjoy...

How is the exhaust settling in with more miles on it? Can you post some pictures or videos, especially showing the in cabin sound?

I've had the full exhaust for about 15K now (Canadian)...still love the sound. Its subtle and loud when you need it. I had berk HFC on with it for a short period, it really woke it up sounded great but too loud for my taste...so fyi for you guys if you want to go the same route.
