How much better did your car perform after the tune?

It feels like the car's potential has been unlocked. crisper shifting, better throttle feel and feels great through the power band. I have four different maps that get more aggressive the higher it is. Map 3 allows me to put in race fuel (which is a lot of fun) and map 4 is for extreme heat (I go to school in Arizona) so there is no knock.

Reading this showed me how quick a build can change. In august, I was preparing for a n/a build with my lth from either ppe, fast intentions, or the z1 combo. Now I'm working towards a single turbo build.

Seb is a real cool dude to talk to and I can't wait to make the switch. Ecutek>uprev.

Hi Gents,

Like some others in this thread I had a miata with ECUtek and loved it. Luckily I still have my ECUTek cable.

So, that means the cost of an e-tune comes down a bit, however, my car is stock (2015 s Limited, so it does have the rear muffler for what it's worth??). What sort of potential improvements should I expect? I'm tempted to do it for the throttle response alone after the dealership told me "It drives as designed" but extra power is never a bad thing

You're not going to see much of a gain. Not until you start doing modifications, starting with bolt on. Get an exhaust/intake before.

I should receive my Takeda today, and plan to install this weekend. The only component I'd like to add before a tune would be the FI HFC's, but that's not going to happen within the first half of the year (maybe not until taxes next year). I'd already contacted Visconti about a tune. However, I'm now wondering if I should contact Sebastian instead (http://specialtyz.com/shop/default/3...mming-kit.html).

I've read that you have to "stab" (stomp) the gas pedal to the floor after putting it into 1st, then the revs should go up and stop wherever you have the launch limit set to.

I understand the concept. I use the launch control on uprev and i understand how its done on the 370z (make sure its in sport mode (rev match button), TC off, 1st gear, load the LC map, stomp and Go when ready), I just wanna see it done a G.
