The wiring is from the AWD unit, not the fuse. The paper clips are my makeshift soldering stand haha.

I used a toggle switch and wired it with a quick connect terminal that I can push onto the switch.

But u mean the switches that have 3 terminals right? (Power, ground, and the switch cable), cause those are the only ones that ive wired before

I just use an inline toggle switch it splices in between what the normal wiring would be to create a "cut" in the electrical signal when toggled.

I did the awd to rwd and traction control switch today and it worked great! i could almost do standing burnouts! So just to confirm, i should only toggle the switch while the car is off right?

I've read that the awd cars like mine have an open differential. Does this mod turn them into a one wheel wonder?

Yeah, I blew the fuse switching it with the car on.

I've watched your drag vids (great). Are you in rwd or awd while destroying others? I'm guessing the quaife works with your awd system? Thanks for sharing your awesome ride.

Thanks. I leave it in AWD while launching and roll into the throttle. It allows the fronts to grip some without too much shock and still maintains a strong launch. The quaife works well, basically it turns our ATESSA system into an older Skyline ATESSA system (which were better).

Mad scientist stuff going on here, wow....so I'm a little puzzled as well. I live in NY so we have winters obviously. so I would want AWD till spring. So I wouldn't attempt this till then. So you basically have a switch to switch from AWD to RWD ??...do you have a picture of this setup in your car ? Are there any youtube videos showing this. This is really interesting. Would absolutely love to have RWD during the spring summer and fall !!!!...awesome write up !!..............after writing this I found this on youtube [url]https://youtu.be/yuQep498Kj0 ...thats so cool...would love to have this option

That's so cool. I was hoping to hear our awd cars can kick some butt. Great job! I'm going to need a second job now.😜😈

You wouldn't change your daily driving dynamics doing this, the car is only awd up to 12mph or if the rear tires slip. It would only affect it during times of traction, which would bring you from awd, to an open diff rwd.
