Exclamation D.I.Y Repair craked, peeling, interior dash

HI. You can do, repair your dashboard crack or meelting in your g37 2008 -2010. poor quality Vinyl. i dont understand how the Inifintu luxuri motor have a problem than basic...

1. Dont feel fear to peel of your dashboard
2. Peel off all dashboard, is very easy with finger
3. Remove center console. find in the search bar. remove center console.. are 8 screw. easy
4. You need buy a slim vinyl and remove the white clot strech.
5. Cut center console with saw.
6. Apply yellow glue. ( glue for paste shoes pegaucho )
7. keep calm if when put the new vinyl in dash, you see glove of air. only you need apply pinhead for keep in the place and get out air.
8. In the center console remember that you need more distance between in the edge for dash trim put on top

I can't help but wonder what affect this would have on the passenger air bag deploying.

Makes you wonder how this came to be. I have never seen a cracked dash in even from the 90's. Now the 70/80's yes. Nice pink nail polish.

Zero effect, some glue and tighter upholstery will not slow down the force of an airbag significantly enough to be a concern.

Also for those wondering.. if you can lay vinyl stickers you can lay vinyl..

The good glue is important.. a hair dryer (not a heat gun) or preferably a steam gun will help tremendously with laying down vinyl fabric.

Dashes still do crack, if you take care of it from start of ownership (just like you do for exterior car washes), it ll last a lot longer
