Did this mod myself and it really looks great! Ordered accelerator from EBAY and brake pad cover and dead pedal from local dealer. According to dealer, there are very few OEM dead pedals available. Parts came in quickly. The install was very easy...I did not have any difficulty stretching the brake pad cover on, but did struggle a bit with the accelerator pedal when removing the cable and pin, but it worked out. I "cheated" a bit and just pried the old plastic dead pedal from carpet (I DO NOT suggest ...follow the detailed instructions) and snapped new dead pedal into clips after putting some gorilla glue on the back. Also, I changed out the emergency brake...since they do not make a matching cover for the e-brake, I ordered from ebay a clutch cover! It worked nicely...simply trimmed back a bit and glued right over e-brake cover...looks great

Glad it worked out for you. I am sure that a lot of people think "when will I ever notice those pedals down there", but I do all the time. It's a pretty good upgrade for the money and the aluminum pedals actually have a different feel to them altogether. You notice the difference when driving.

Are the part numbers for the dead pedal (aka footrest) the same for both automatics and manual?

I'd like to replace the foot rest in my car (manual transmission) but I believe it is a little taller!

Edit: Checking Sewell's site:
Infiniti OEM Parts Catalog > 2008 G37 Coupe parts > Body (Front, Roof, & Floor) > Floor Trimming
Production dates 0607-0808
Edit: April 23, 2014 @10:56AM EST - Note the part numbers below are not the foot rest, but the piece beneath. Apologies
67840JK600 (A/T)
67840JK610 (M/T)

Part numbers are different, prices differ by less than $1.00. Hmmmph.

Ryne, funny you should mention that no one will notice actually when my Uncle got into the car, he commented on how shiney the pedals are...and a friend noticed them this weekend. I have the accent lighting and at night they really shine, especially on the brake pedal.

I would be cautious. I don't think there are 2 part numbers because one is A/T and one is M/T, I think it is because one is plastic and one is aluminum. I looked at my plastic take-off dead pedal and it did not have a part number stamped on it. It seems that Nissan/Infiniti would have done themselves a favor and at least made it a single size for coupe, regardless of transmission.

If you really think yours is different, upload a picture, maybe with the dimensions and we can verify.

Bencarra, Ryne, Please note that the part numbers I posted were incorrect. Greg @ Sewell Infiniti corrected me. See below:

If you want to try the pad for a later year G37 you would need to order part number 678401NF3A and 6 of the clips 749851NF0A. It is entirely possible your pad will come off and can be replaced with a later style pad. It is also possible your pad is bonded to the carpet and not designed to be removed. I do not have any 2008 6 speed cars here to go look at to see if we think it can be removed. All the information Infiniti gives us says the entire carpet has to be replaced, but we know sometimes parts from other years will work fine.
In summary, it appears the for 2008 models the pad is not available separately. In 2009 the pad is available separately. This has two possible explanations:
1. There was a design change or manufacturing process change. Perhaps is 2008 it was bonded to the floor and in 2009 and onward the foot rest was clipped in.
2. The manufacturing process was always the same, however the bill of materials managers noticed that they had not broken down the parts in sufficient detail or into sub assemblies.

I will be looking into this and report back. I will also snap a pic of my dead pedal and measure it

Well luckily, I think either way you are fine. Let's say it is a worst case scenario and the pad is attached differently. It would be simple enough to remove the pad, poke the holes for the pins, and attach. I think explation 2 makes much more sense though.

In my 2008 6mt, the foot rest is 9" tall, 1 5/8" wide at the base and 1 7/8" wide at the top. See pics 1-3.

It is indeed removable and replaceable, there are 6 pins on the backside of the foot rest which go through the carpet. Pics 4-5 show the pins and how this would separate from the carpet. The top two pins were already loose, the lower ones were caked on and I didn't bother touching them (pic 5 shows plenty of salt stains ). I must remember to get the vacuum and perhaps clean this up properly when I get my replacement parts.

I will be placing an order for:
1x 67840-1NF3A (foot rest)
6x 74985-1NF0A (clips or pressure washers to keep foot rest in place)

Does anyone know if the P/Ns the OP provided will work for a 7A/T Sedan?

They are different, and you ordered the correct part. I looked up the part # you posted and it matches up with what appears to be the Coupe and Sedan 6MT.

I am thinking that there is one for the auto and one for the manual due to different pedal configurations. I believe that coupe or sedan doesn't matter as long as you purchase according to your transmission. Hopefully someone who has done this on a sedan can chime in and confirm or deny.

I'll look into part databases regarding the coupe and sedan pedals and see if the part numbers align.

Thanks for putting this DIY together man - this will make the pedal install a breeze.

Your welcome! I looked into the part that I used for the dead pedal and it came back as a part for the M Sport but it fits and looks good. Let me know what you find and I will update this thread accordingly as information comes to light. The M pedal may actually be a slight upgrade, it appears to be a bit wider than the G37 sport pedal but mounts perfectly.

I have confirmed the following P/Ns for an Automatic Sedan:

Accelerator:
180021NC0C

Brake Pedal:
46531JK00C

Dead Pedal:
678401NF1A

Which part number did you use for the M-Sport dead pedal? I'd like to verify that against what I have found as well.

All the parts numbers you confirmed are the ones I used and posted originally. It is good to know those will also work with the sedan. That part number for the footrest will also cross reference with the M. The picture I posted for the sport coupe was a 2008, so it is possible they used a smaller pedal for that year and then switched to a universal size for following years. It is also possible they aren't different sizes and my eyes are mistaken.
