DIY: Whiteline Differential bushings

I see the stock rear diff silicon filled bushing leaking on not a majority, but a fair share of Infinti models out on the roadway. It's something I now look for. I swapped out my rear diff for one w 3.69 gears and doing the bushings at the same time just made efficiency sense. No worry of a broken bushing back there or doing some BS warranty dance w/ the dealer.
I drive spirited in my 7AT. swift springs, koni yellows..a few other things, but I could definitely notice a difference in responsiveness/'snap' when the all three bushings were changed. It's not jarring like going to race/metallic bushing options by any means-- it's how it should have come, especially in the Z world.
I'm not sure if I would do this mod alone before it's time though.. the differential swap, for sure. It's pnp and requires no tuning after w/ zero dash lights.

Well i got some whiteline bushings on the way. Just wondering if this is something an average person could do with a little patience and elbow grease? Also what are your thoughts on the nismo cover? Thanks.

After realizing I had none of the tools or jacks required I just had mine done at a local shop. I am usually DIY type person but this one seemed a step above my mechanical skills/tools.
$259.00 out the door, not bad at all. Took them about 3-4 hours. Feels much better, solid feeling. I am not sure if I was getting wheel hop prior, but it felt like it was moving in the back all over the place.
So well worth it, I was paranoid I was going to wreck the differential after waiting over a year to fix it.

Hey everyone,
So I have a EX35, which just blew the rear diff bushing and leaked silicone everywhere. Not too happy about it as I discovered the official fix is to replace the entire subframe.
I did some research and the EX35 subframe is the exact same part number as the G37. While I am mechanically inclined, I dont think I can handle this job myself.
Is there anywhere in San fernando valley in So cal that is a nissan/infiniti specialist/general mechanic that would be able to perform this job for a nominal fee?
My usual indy mechanic says he wouldnt be able to this job. So looking to see if I can find someone experienced in this issue do it..

West Texas. El Paso to be exact. I left there feeling like bandit as I was expecting about $400 minimum and $700 maximum, but I truly had nor have any idea of what something like this should cost.

I thought I posted earlier but I didn't see it posted upon rechecking.
I had mine done in West Texas, El Paso to be specific. I figured the cost was going to be between $400 to $700 so at $259 out the door it sure felt like a steal.
I have no idea if this was a good price or not but it sure seemed like a steal.

Yes, at first i was going to ask that. so if you see oil leak on the differential case then it's time to replace. please don't leak on me

I had these installed late last year by an indy shop and at the time i didnt notice any noises or vibrations. However since then i developed other issues with the carrier bushing which i replaced and then heavy vibrations from an out of clock driveshaft which has also been fixed. I'm still having vibration issues on acceleration and general roughness in the driveline though and im not sure if its from the other issues having caused a new problem or the whiteline bushings that i just didnt notice before.
Would an out of phase ujoint cause acceleration vibrations and or deceleration driveshaft lashout? I cant remember off hand if the shop installed them thin top/fat bottom or if the top hats were reused, i plan to check as soon as i get home. If the thin is on top and the top hats are missing then most likely the vibrations are from this and ill be swapping them around.
I used RDZ motorsports which is a nissan specialty shop, but i think they installed the driveshaft out of clock which prematurely caused the carrier bushing to wear or fool me into thinking it was shot and then i compounded it by installing the driveshaft out of clock myself after the carrier bushing replacement.
