The trick is to have a long MAGNETIC screwdriver for those deep screws. I tried using a standard screwdriver and accidentally dropped one of the screws into the abyss... It's gone now.

Did this today. Video was awesome help. Yes it's definitely easier with the right tools which I did not have but was able to manage with a regular screw driver. Had a little bit of a fight dislodging the glovebox after all the screws were removed but all in all went well. Thanks to the OP.

My filter should arrive soon and this should help for the installation.
Too bad its not like my wifes '03 Accord. No tools needed , no screws to loose.
Open the glovebox , squeeze the sides , drop the door and replace the filter , close the glovebox. A 30 second job.

I changed my filter the other day, used a socket wrench with extensions and the phillips bit. Pretty easy job, although I had the squeeze the bracket closer to the left side of the glove box in order to get the rear screw to go back in easily. I bought a Wix filter and there were no directional arrows so I'm assuming it can be put in either way.

Do you have a mechanics pick up magnet ? I used a normal long screwdriver and had the magnet laid in the same area.

U ever find that carbon charged filter? How much did u grab it for and from where?

I'm leaning towards the CCF cause my vents stink.

Thanks.

Should? That's relative. I have allergies. I change mine once a year.

I went with the Fram Fresh Breeze from Rockauto (FRAM Part # CF10743 ). It's carbon charged and also used baking soda. $20 plus shipping, working out well so far. To make the shipping cost worth it, I also ordered some Wix engine air filters and Bosch oil filters at the same time.
