Also I somehow ended up with 2 unopened quarts of Redline MT85 and about a half quart of Redline 75W90 GL5. If anybody wants them, shoot me an offer becasue I probably won't need them for a long time. No need to sit on my shelf if someone else is going to buy some anyway.

Any update during the cold weather spell we just had? After changing to Nissan MT-90, I wish I would have seen this "cocktail". It shifts smooth except for 1 to 2 or 3 to 2, where its notchy (on and off, even when oil is warm). When the OA temp is 70F+, the notchiness seems to be at a minimum but still there. I have around 1800 miles on the fluid.

So we have beautiful weather and I had some time to work on the cars this weekend so I did another fluid change. This time I went with a cocktail suggested by Ryan of RJM Performance (the clutch pedal guy). On another forum quite a while back he maentioned that he'd tried multiple fluids and combinations of fluids and gave his thoughts on how they ranked. The one he liked best is 1 part Amsoil Synchromesh manual transmission oil to 2 parts Redline MT85. I went with it. In 2 relatively short test drives, it seems great. It's not currently cold here, but the benefit of this mixture is smoother shifting in both cold weather and at high temperatures. In both cars it seems to be very smooth. I'll update when I've had a chance to put several hundred miles on it in different driving conditions. But so far, I can say I like it.

Brief update to post #118. It's now been a few hundred miles since the fluid change back to stock from mt85 w/ ~8K miles. Cold temp shifting has much improved. It's been in the teens and colder here and no issues when the car is cold. Hard to believe cold temp properties of the MT85 fluid broke down in such a short time. We'll see how well the stock fluid does next winter.

So I went with 2 qts of MT-85 Redline and 1 qt of syncromesh in my 08 G35s. I am really loving it right now and it took allot of the notchiness out during the winter. I do not condone this as I have only been on this mix for ~6-8 months but no grinding at all and I never have to force it into 2nd. (This is compared to Nissan MT-85 and Redline MT-85) On my next change (in two years hopefully) I may try Nissan's MT-85 and syncromesh.

Hi guys, After reading every post trying to find out what's best for my G that has not issues or symptoms of ware at this time, I think I'll give the cocktail of redline mt-85 and Ams-oil a shot this week and report back my findings.
I have a 2012 G37S Sedan and I love it so far. I plan on driving it as a daily with track days in the future once it's better equipped, hope to have great useful feedback for this community.

I've read every single post and still cant make up my mind on which way to go???? OEM Nissan fluid or Redline MT-85?
Any more suggestions for a '13 G37S?
Also, from what i've read, temperature plays a big factor in the fluid. I live in Central FL where its pretty warm/hot year round. That kinda has me leaning toward the Redline, but those few posts where some members were unhappy with the Redline make me skittish!
