I've looked around and this is still the closest I've come to an answer. I aligned them vertically using this method and is night/day better but my passenger side is pointed towards the driver side and on foggy mornings I can see the beam actually overlapping the driver side and pointing at oncoming traffic. Is there a way to move it back to the right and straight forward? I don't see any other way to adjust it besides up and down.

I don't believe there is a horizontal adjustment that can be done on our own. You may have to go to the dealer for that as I vaguely remember reading that you need a special tool (don't quote me on that).

I had this problem a few months back; turned out both my clips for holding the bulbs in place were broken which led to them gazing any which way the headlights desired. :-/ You really should not have to adjust lateral output when adjusting the headlights.

Just to follow up with pictures, if you are in need of a horizontal adjustment, this is how. You'll need to remove your fender liner and wheel for the best access. There are these 2 little black plugs that can be removed with a flathead screwdriver or maybe even a paperclip to reveal the adjustment screws. Once they are off, you can use a phillips or 8mm socket. Remember, small adjustments are magnified as the light beam goes farther out so follow the 1st post for measurements and make your changes sparingly and accordingly.

This is probably the easiest DIY ever with GOOD instructions and pictures. Other DIYs are either confusing as hell and make no sense or it sucks, lol.
BTW I moved the drivers side and I was able to spot a difference in lowering the light but i kept turning the passenger side but I didn't notice ****?

Most of this didn't make sense to me when trying to adjust my headlights on my 2013 G37 coupe. Post 91 and the picture with the circle told me what I was looking for though.
I only needed to adjust the passenger side on my car and I was able to access the adjustment by pulling the weather stripping away from the fender. you shine a flashlight down there and you can see the adjustment mechanism and get to it with a screwdriver easily without removing anything else.
FYI for those with a later model coupe.
