Scuff marks removal help

Hey all,

I just recently noticed some serious scuff marks on my car. No idea how they got there unfortunately. I'm looking for ways to make it look better and am hoping for some suggestions/help. The marks are located on the driver side just below the taillight. Image attached.

You can try some Meguiar's Scratch-X.

I had to use it on my trunk lid after I debadged the "Infiniti".

It doesn't permanently fix scratches, but it blends the top coat together so the scratches/imperfections disappear.

It doesn't get applied like wax where you apply it, let dry and buff off.

You apply some scratch-x and rub it in until it basically disappears into the paint. Then use a soft cloth to wipe off whats left.

You can also try a clay bar. Spray the area heavily with wax and gently use a clay bar to remove the scratch. The clay bar should be kneaded as you use it. Most of the scratch should be removed.

I would also recommend Scratch X 2.0. More than one application may be required depending on the severity.

+1 on the clay bar. it will take the black stuff off and take any particles that are stuck in the paint off.

then get a polish and buff the area with a microfiber towel. then apply a wax over the top and it will look better than new.

most of the scuff marks look really light so i dont think you will have too much trouble.

How competent are you with a da orbital. You can cut down the scuff in stages and make sure you keep the buffing pad wet so you don't burn through the clear

I had some marks just like those on my black G and I used my clay bar and amazingly they came right out. I thought for sure it wouldn't work, but it did. Give it a shot and let us know what you finally ended up doing to remove them. Good luck!
