Please excuse the state of my paint. Snow/winter has put lots of swirl marks in the paint. I got in the right light today and noticed some "browning" of the paint. I attached some pictures. Has anyone else had this problem or know what is causing it?? Thanks!!!!

Honestly just looks dirty to me. Is that after it was cleaned? I can't even tell from the pictures.

Mine has that too but its just a spot on the hood. Looks bad

Wash it. Clay bar it. Then rub on a couple coats Liquid glass. Let us know how it looks after that.

Yeah it is after I washed it. Is liquid glass a polish or something more?


I was thinking of compounding and polishing it this weekend. More to remove the "swirl" marks

I had something similar happen when I had a 2010 QX 56. I could take my DA buffer and some polishing compound and make things look great and it would last a few month before coming back again. Unfortunately Infiniti wouldn't do anything about is since the vehicle had over 100k miles on it. I would take it to your dealership and ask them about it. Hopefully they will get the district rep involved.

Honestly I love the car. But Infiniti really dropped the ball on the paint they used. It is sooooo soft. Even a microfiber puts those small lines in it. I am going to use my DA polisher this weekend and see if I can correct it for the time being. I am going to take it to the dealership next time im out of town. Air Force put me in the middle of nowhere so im not near a dealership lol

I use polishing compound followed by a glaze ....sealer then wax.

I usually do Compound (in bad areas), polish, sealant, and wax. Never used a glaze before. What exactly does it do?

What's your washing method? What kind of DA polisher do you have? Why are you taking it to the dealer? They'll just put more swirls in it for ya.

That looks like yellowing of the clear coat.

clayed, polished, applied liquid glass, and ill put on a good sealant tomorrow. Discoloration is now gone... along with all the wonderful "swirl" marks.
