New G37xs Sedan Owner
Hey everyone new to the forum. Just bought a 2011 G37xs Sedan recently, just wanted to say love the car, what mods should I do first? Was thinking of getting some tuning done from Monkeynutz in Burnaby to speed up the DS Manual mode with my paddle shifters anyone get this done? Any difference in the delay? How much did it cost if you don't mind me asking.
Oh and looking to see if anyone has Ground Kits or installs them around Vancouver.
Thanks.

welcome! nice to see another local member.
lots of info on here when it comes to mods. suspension and tires are great starting mods but it really depends on what your goals are. the car comes with plenty of power out of the box. but you don't get the upgraded suspension or braking with the XS sedan so if it were me i'd start with handling mods. good summer tires and sway bars go a long way to transform the car.

How much did you pay for your Extended Protection Plan in Canada?
Did you have to purchase it before your basic 4 year warranty expired?
Or are/where you able to purchase it while the 4 year basic expired but the 7 year powertrain was still active?

i don't have a warranty or plan and i bought the car used. Since i'm planning on a ton of mods i don't want to deal with issues of voiding my warranty. Plus these cars are really reliable and there aren't usually any issues if you keep it properly maintained.

Just curious how much did they charge? Any noticeable difference?

they charge $75/hr, 2hours for intake and 1hour for grounding kit. The intake gives gives alittle more rumble inside the car but horsepower wise you won't notice the difference. The grounding kit has often been said to be a placebo effect but i can say that it made a noticeable big difference in reducing the shifting lag especially from 3rd to 2nd gear.

you mean worth it? ya in my opinion it was because i hated that lag when i wanted to shift from 3rd to 2nd. The Intake i got for $500 and grounding kit was 90$. What are you planning to do for your G?

I want to look into a grounding kit first because I heard the same that it does speed up the paddle shifting, then look into lowering springs and wheels. Then eventually look into exhaust and possibly intake as well.

Yeah I talked to Sena seems like a real cool dude, I missed the meet because I was out of town that weekend. The only weekend I was busy on the last few...lol. If there is another meet soon I'll go for sure and try and get it done then.
