Lease ending on 2013 G37x... my baby

Hello All,

I love my G and have taken great care of it. I am caught in a dilemma, here are the details on my G and the lease ends in Nov:

2013 G37x - Obsidian Black, loaded besides navigation (didn’t want it)
20K miles (get 24K) do most my heavy driving in June/July so miles isnt a problem
24 month lease
$2500 down (traded in my old car wasn’t even worth that)
$299 a month
Residual is $26.5K

I really think I am going to buy it out because the price seems about fair for what they are going for now, but I don’t want to get beat. I live just outside of Philly, I know location can make a big difference in price. I am not a big fan of the Q50 (had one for a day while they did and oil change). Im stuck between buying it outright for the $26.5K, walking away and finding another at a cheaper price, or moving on from Infinii maybe to a S3 or S4… I just wish they have a 2016 badass G37x not the Q that really is turning me away from Infiniti

Thoughts on that Residual? Also what about buying and they trading it back in say 1-2 years later, any thoughts on the G’s not holding their value like they use to? One final thought I have all 4 windows tinted and back, Infiniti never said anything when they inspected it however should this get removed if I am going to turn her back in?

Thanks!!!

I went through the same dilemma. I had low miles so I bought it. They offered me very good financing (1.9%). Your residual is about 1k more than mine was. Be prepared to pay Infiniti an extra$500 for lease termination & inspection fees. Also sales tax for your state. You will see a large drop in market value so a trade in will be tough. Your only other choice is give it up & buy a similar model from the used lot.
