Dohntaut's G37s 6MT build

Hey everyone I just picked up a 2008 G37s 6MT coupe about 2 months ago. I had an s2000 which went from stock to turbo to another turbo and back to stock, and I felt like i just needed something more practical and reliable to get me around. I definitely love all the luxuries and comfort the G has to offer but I do miss how engaging the s2000 was to drive. My plans for this car are to keep it simple, currently I'm thinking hotchkis swaybars, RJM clutch pedal, wheels, and mild drop. But, who knows what just might happen if a good deal on a supercharger kit pops up in the classifieds section.

Mods so far:
diode dynamics leds throughout
tint
bluebatmobile tail light overlays gtr style with reverse cutout 6/10 tint
gloss black vinyl roof overlay
tow hook license plate mount
Jsolo clutch spring
Moddiction countersunk shift ****
bluetooth audio streaming mod
bluebatmobile tail light overlays gtr style with reverse cutout 6/10 tint
gloss black vinyl roof overlay

Pics of the tails and vinyl roof

Picked up a used JL 500/1v2 amp off the forums and it came with plenty of extras. I'll be using it to power a JL 12W3 that I kept from my last car. I just need an enclosure to put the sub in. I'll probably go with the zenclosure box even though I would be losing the pass through, a custom corner box would be too expensive.

Contacted zenclosures about a box to fit my 12inch sub, but they said they don't have a design to fit it . I'm either going to learn how to fiberglass or buy a 10 inch sub, this project will be on the back burner for now.

Also here is a poor quality picture of the shadow courtesy lights I installed. Some may think it's tacky but i think they're pretty neat.

I haven't been very active here, but this is the current status of the build. I was rear ended and spun out into the divider. I haven't decided what car I'll buy next but for now at least everyone is safe.

Wow, this thread took a big 180, sorry to see that, but glad everyone is ok. G/L with whatever you decide to do, if you end up keeping it, let us know how it goes.

Well, that was unexpected. Glad you're okay man. We can replace cars, can't replace you. Be safe out there. Good luck with everything.

Be sure to submit receipts in your claim for all mods you've done; including vinyl wraps. I get a sick feeling when I notice a rock chip....sucks this happened 6 mo after purchase but it looks like the G did its job for ya; glad everyone was safe.

Thanks everyone, the G definitely did its job. The ironic thing was that I was coming back from picking up a set of eibach sway bars too. The car has been declared to be a total loss, and I should get an offer soon. If I end up getting a good offer for a buy back there will be plenty of oem parts for you guys.
