2012 G37S 6MT Sedan build
Bought this car November 2015 after selling my pride and joy, 2007 Jeep Wrangler on 1 ton axles and 40” tires. Daily driver rock crawler. There was a lot of blood, sweat and tears in that Jeep but it was time to move on.
I should have started a build thread when I bought the car but I kept putting it off. The G was bone stock and owned by an older gentleman prior to me.
Current mods include:
2012 Infiniti G37S w/ 6MT 26K miles
Ksport coilovers set at 25 7/8” at all four corners.
19” IPL wheels wrapped with Nitto Invo 275-245
Stillen Gen 3 intake
Motordyne M370 intake
JWT Clutch
JWT lightweight flywheel
Hotchkis Sway Bars
Cusco strut bar
Unorthodox crank pulley
Whiteline diff bushings
Berk HFC
Tanabe Medallion exhaust
Custom 2” dual x pipe
5% Limo windows
RJM clutch pedal
XB led fogs
Optima Red top
Voodoo13 toe/camber arms
Blacked out all chrome
Debadged
Painted front grill
Day 1 when I bought her
Interior
5% limo
IPL wheels installed prior to Eibach Springs
Installing Whiteline diff bushings

New Ksport coilovers installed just minutes prior to this picture

It took me a few hours including installing the Berk HFC. The most time consuming part was pressing in the new bushing. The old one I cut out with a saw zaw. To press in the new one I had a long bolt with some large washers. Basically I created a press.

Next up is Voodoo13 FUCA and a new dyno tune. I'm curious to see where I'm at. Also want to get TWM short throw and a Z1 Motorsports Transmission Mount.

As for the STS... it's the must-have mod for 6MT owners. Matched with your RJM clutch pedal assembly, it makes for a very rewarding driver's car. Such a simple little thing, and yet such a big difference in perception.
OP, if you don't mind my asking this, can you go into depth on your clutch & flywheel? Why you did it, your expectations compared to your initial reactions and long-term assessments, advice, warnings, problems, changes in how you drive, etc. Have at it, please. It could be a good read.

Be forewarned about the Z1 Transmission Mount. Everyone loves it like mad at first, but for most people the appeal wears off very quickly. Fortunately, it's only $200, and a very easy DIY for someone like you. So if you change your mind, swap it out and sell it online. If you've dropped the rear diff in your own garage, then swapping this mount should be a cakewalk.

I appreciate your feedback on the trans mount. I don't "need" it but heard good things after people install it. I guess I never researched long term use.
Onto the clutch and flywheel from JWT. About a month after purchasing the car I hated the way the clutch felt as most of us do. It felt like it would slip here and there so I took it to the dealer and complained that the slave cylinder was going out. Knowing they had to drop the tranny I talked to the service rep and said while you have the tranny out can you install a new flywheel and clutch for me and they agreed. I drove down to Concept Z Performance (local) and bought it and took it back to the dealer. The next day I picked her up. Prior to taking it to the dealer I researched like crazy and went back and forth knowing the lighter flywheel sounds like a cement mixer and it does, a buddy of mine who had a 350Z a few years back said that I needed to install the JWT clutch and flywheel so I did. Paired up with my RJM clutch pedal its easy to drive and a blast taking off from a stop light. I have no regrets with the install. The only thing I would warn people about is the noise of the flywheel. It's loud and sounds like your car is coming apart after a hot run. If you are driving to the grocery store or down the street and not getting after it, the noise it quieter but noticeable. I'm scheduling a dyno run and tune today which won't happen for a few weeks since the shop is booked and we shall see what numbers she puts down. I'm hoping for over 315.
