769113LZ0A-GARNISH ASSY-FRONT (Pillar trim)

S2K's are awesome roadsters. You've done a great job with that car. Looking forward to your build thread here.

Quick update:

We had a lot of ice/snow/rain the last couple days. No leaks, no water.

Just installed a set of OEM all-weather floor mats. I had these in the Acura and loved them!

Put in my new Pro-Clips USA phone mount.

I also got a 128GB thumbnail flash drive (
Amazon.com: SanDisk Ultra Fit 128GB USB 3.0 Flash Drive (SDCZ43-128G-G46) [Older Version]: Computers & Accessories Amazon.com: SanDisk Ultra Fit 128GB USB 3.0 Flash Drive (SDCZ43-128G-G46) [Older Version]: Computers & Accessories
) to handle my music storage duties. This is a nice tiny piece that you can barely notice in the center console. Highly recommend!

I left threads in the Reviews section.

I noticed a vibration noise at about 6K RPM. Turned out to be the cowl cover. I installed the small rubber liner mentioned in other threads and cured that problem, but I still have a buzzing noise that sounds like it is inside the cabin behind the passenger side dash. Its not too bad, but I will likely try to track it down soon.

Impressions: Yes, it makes noise, but not nearly as much as my AEMv2 on the TL or the K&N FIPK on the S2K. Still, it kicks in really well around 5-6K. I notice lighter throttle response and fully expect to pick up a few MPG from this, if nothing else.

Rubber seal came loose on the passenger side and is a bitch to get back on. Anyone else run into this and have suggestions?

Yep, that happens way too easy on the passenger side. One solution is to bolt the seal to the box:

Great cars man, it seems we have similar taste in cars. I had an 08 TL (polished metal metallic) before I got my '13 xS coupe. At some point I plan to own a S2K, I've always loved them but from a practicality standpoint haven't been able to justify it to my wife. It took all my manipulation skills to get her to agree to a 330hp coupe for our family DD. lol

Thanks KidJai06!
The 3G TL was a great car---the lines are timeless, in my opinion. You see one in 20 years and it will still look appealing. Same with the S2K.
I presume you are just starting out with the family and I can see you made a bold decision with the G. I certainly hope she got something nice out of the bargain (its bargaining---not manipulation!). Happy Wife.... Anyway, the day will come when you will get what you want. My kids are either in or going to college soon, so my time was ripe. Patience, my friend. Its a long road.
My GF really loves the red Gs. Do you have pics of your car posted anywhere?

I agree the 3G TL is and probably always will be great to look at. I owned it for almost 6 years and aside from routine maintenance never needed anything and ran like a champ. Before the TL I had a '06 G35 coupe but when my wife got pregnant I had to let it go and part of me missed it everyday since. And yeah my wife made out pretty well the jewelry store the next week! Here's my post in "newbie corner" https://www.myg37.com/forums/newbie-...-to-forum.html it has some pics of my new G. I just got my OEM spoiler yesterday so I hope to get it on soon and I have a midnight grill and swift springs en route. My daughter is only 5 so i have a way to go before I can get too many more toys. I've been fixing up a 98' integra LS i bought on eBay for cheap and plan to finish the last few things to flip it and put the extra cash towards some G upgrades.
