The Evolution of Cyrus

Okay, here goes. My first build thread, but not my first car build. However, this is the first Infiniti that I'm working on, so overall, it should be a pretty cool experience.

Plans are to create a one of a kind EX that remains luxuriously sleek but is a JDM powerhouse. Pretty much, I want it to be different. It will be a slow build but with only 26k miles on it right now, why rush?!

Plans are as follows:
Interior upgraded to black marble (with the OEM stone interior)
Upgraded steering wheel
A few VIP interior upgrades
Accuair E-Level air ride
Engine and transmission upgrades

The parts lists includes items from the following companies (some are already in my possession, but not installed):
Cusco
Billion
ARC
Impul
Blitz
Work

The hardest part (so far) will be the exhaust. Some part of the piping will have to be fabricated but I'll cross that bridge at a later date

The car is pretty much stock right now...only has a Stillen Gen 2 intake and a G37s muffler. However, I do have parts sitting around to install. Just not in a rush.

BTW....I do 90% of my installs myself with the help of a buddy of mine (when I need an extra set of hands). Only time the cars see my mechanic is for alignments, inspections and exhaust work if welding is involved.

So....stay tuned as more parts will be coming in from Japan throughout the next few months. I tend to acquire things in the fall and winter and install them in early spring. Living in NYC, the roads suck year round but the winter salt makes everything 5x worse.

Until I can decide on a JDM exhaust, I think I'm going to put on a GT-R exhaust with dual tips instead of the quad.

Custom suspension is already in the works complete with a moveable base so the trunk remains functional and the spare can be reached.

Thanks!! Working on it this weekend, so I'll have some updated pics.

Weekend to do list...
Hardwire radar detector
Add a whole bunch of Top Secret stuff
Switch out my coolant overflow tank to something VERY NICE
Install Blitz throttle controller (will have to do until I get the EcuTek tune)
Install grounding kit/wires
Impul shift **** (Shift **** fits great, but it looks crazy with the shape of the boot collar. So I ordered one from zeetoyz. Hopefully, that does the trick. If not, I'll make one)

Probably forgetting something, but I'll remember to take pics of everything when I'm finished.

Also need to start looking into a long tube intake. I like the Stillen shorts that are there now, but...go hard or go home right?! Thinking the Takeda intake might work out pretty well.

About to order my Cusco front and rear sways. Was going to get the front strut bar too, but I want the engine bay to look clean and uncluttered.

Well...it rained this Sunday. ALOT. I was only able to hard wire the radar detector and even got drenched doing that. Cold and wet, but still managed to get that done at least.

Was also going to tackle the Blitz throttle controller, but realized I had the wrong connector once I got the pedal loose. OF COURSE, this week is "golden week" in Japan and Blitz is closed So the button/switch is mounted, but attached to nothing!! At least I put a nice notch in the plastic cap that covers the pedal bolt. That thing is a p.i.t.a. to remove for the first time.

I've also been treating myself to a few items over the past few months. I have a thicker/re-wrapped steering wheel that I need to install, but want to get a new trim piece. The one I have is pretty beat up looking.
