Wheel fitment

Im hoping one of you guys that is much more understanding about wheels and tires on our Gs can help me out.

I have a G37S sedan and I am looking at a set of rims with the following specs. The offset for the front is in question.

20x8.5
Offset 40

What tires would I be able to get away with this set up? I am not currently lowered but that would be a goal as well.

Thanks,
Grey

Do you have the link for the wheels you want? Many wheels, even 20s won't clear the big front brake calipers when you run high positive offsets.
That said, a 8.5 +40 would be a good rim for a 245/35/20.

Hey blnewt thanks for your response. The guy selling the wheels started acting shady so I have decided to leave him alone.

I really like the stance on Rays coupe and would love to recreate it. Here in Maryland the roads can get really crappy due to the weather so keeping an 18 would be a good idea. If you have any ideas on how to recreate this with the Sedan I would appreciate it. Everything is stock on my car outside of the stereo.

Rays fitment mentioned in his post.
18x9.5 +22 245/45r18 HTRZIII front
18x10.5 +35 275/40r18 HTRZIII rear

18x10.5 +35 275/40r18 HTRZIII rear
They've got that 18 in an 18x9+35 or+40 for the front and an 18x9.5 +35 for the rear.
Enkei RS05RR Gunmetal Wheels
Still have to confirm brake clearance w/ the vendor though. Here are the templates you can use

Here's some other nice 18s you might consider
Evasive Motorsports | PH: 626.336.3400 Mon-Fri, 9am-6pm PST: GTV02
Evasive Motorsports | PH: 626.336.3400 Mon-Fri, 9am-6pm PST: 11R
Evasive Motorsports | PH: 626.336.3400 Mon-Fri, 9am-6pm PST: Work CR Kiwami
Evasive Motorsports | PH: 626.336.3400 Mon-Fri, 9am-6pm PST: Gram Lights 57Transcend
These would be an aggressive square setup in 9.5+34 all around, and only about $220 each
Type 563 Black | MiRO Wheels

All wheels MUST be confirmed to clear your big brakes prior to order, so be sure to keep that in mind.

Thanks again Brad.

I am partial to these wheels.
GetYourWheels.com: Avant Garde Wheels Avant Garde M310 Matte Black Wheels : Wheel and Tire Packages|Staggered Wheels|Custom Wheels|Luxury Rims

Now Im trying to figure out the tire sizes to give me the same look/style as Rays coupe. I know the Sedans fit differently than the coupes.

Those AGs are nice, here's some similar in the Miro lineup and they have them in a 18x9.5 for a little more concave look
Type 111 Black | Miro Wheels
The wheels in Rays setup are deeply concave since they're 10.5 wide in back. You won't get that same degree of concavity in a 9" width though
