Friend recommended i run +22 front and +25 rear, is that just a staggered look preference? I'm just thinking +25 all around so it won't matter if i rotate wheels.
If you were going w/ a bigger offset difference then just 3mm you might want staggered offsets, but that 3mm won't make enough visual difference to negate the advantage of being able to do a true 4 wheel rotation. As far as BBK clearance, that's something you MUST confirm w/ vendor, I'd say with about 95% confidence they'll clear, but I'd hate to have you plunk down that serious cash and be wrong
Here's Simpsons coupe on 10.5 +25s on 275s and it's tight, If you run 255/40s all around you'll have about 10mm more room on the tire width and 6mm more on the wheel width for a net 16mm more room at the fender which should be about perfect IMO.

I apologize for being one of those guys but...

I plan on moving to a squared set up with Tein Basis Coilovers. That being said, I was looking at rims sized : 19 X 8.5 45mm Offset, wrapped in 245/40-19. From what I've read I believe I'd be ok but since I'm not 100% sold on my knowledge of wheel dimensions with this car I need confirmation lol. With the 1.8-2.0'' drop of the Teins, would I be ok with an offset of 45mm and 245/40-19 all around? Like I said, judging by what others have done and what the stock sizes are (Great post by Black Beauty) I think they'd work...just looking for someone to confirm.

Thanks!

Do you have a coupe or sedan? The offset seems a little on the conservative side, and the 8.5 is pretty narrow. I don't think there will be any issues, but it will be fairly sunk in with a drop. Also if you have big brakes make sure you can clear those.

It's a sedan. They're close to the same specs as the stock ones besides the 45mm (I believe stock fronts are 43mm) 8.5 is the width of stock 18s so I'm assuming it clears the BBK but not 100%. Just figure it would since stock runs clear it. I'm not tracking the car and I saw others run that tein setup and it has a conservative drop which I like; not looking to get to close as the roads around me can get rough and I'm not trying to have rub. I've seen others run 43mm and it looks pretty flush with the fender . Still debating on this one. Would like to be able to run high performance tires in the summer and make them last by being able to rotate them. On the other hand, BBK is a want since I drive in conditions where hard breaking is common and I want to know I am stopping when I want. Not saying anything bad about stock brakes but the bigger the better in my case. Another plus being, I know the stock 18s will clear.

What 93 said^^^you can run much more wheel/tire if you'd like. I run 9.5 +38s on 245s and it's a good fit with room to spare. 93 runs a similar setup too.

Thanks for the input guys! Are those 19s? I'll take a look at some wider rims and see if there's anything I like. I just wasn't sure how big I could run them doing the Tein basis drop even though it's conservative to begin with. The tires on the car now are 225/55s so I'm looking forward to something a bit wider

Those are 18s on 245/45/18 tires. I have room to easily run 255s and probably 265s all around.

Wow, wouldn't have guessed that. What coils/ springs you running blnewt? That looks clean. Actually makes me consider swapping out the 225/55 on mine and getting 245s ASAP. New tires be damned!

I'm running Megan Street LP coilovers, if you want to go coils on a budget teh Tein Street Basis Z coils are a good choice and can be had for under $500. I'm dropped to zero gap (26.25" from the ground to the fender arcs).

How's your ground clearance at that height? After the new wheels, I need to lower myself a paltry 2mm in front but 6mm in the rear just to get back to where I was before. And that of course will throw out my alignment yet again.

Exactly what I'm going for. Don't plan on tracking it so Teins gives that nice middle of the road option. Saw you recommend them in a previous post and decided on them after some investigating.

Clearance is pretty good, I was a 1/2" lower on B&G springs and that wasn't fun & my flex Y-pipe joints just got shredded. Have no problem getting around now and no more scrapes.

RMB5190, those Teins are a great value, and being a Japan sourced product the quality control is good. They don't seem to pack them very well though, so expect a box that's seen better days

Stock brakes are enough for daily driving. They will hold up fine with hard braking. The only thing BBK is advantageous for is that it can hold up to repeated hard braking (like racing on a track). I imagine you're not going to brake that hard all the time every day.

Ok, I might skip them all together then and just upgrade my pads then. Figure it would have been a very good upgrade but the stock brakes are solid as they are
