Z1 Motorsports Brake Master Cylinder Brace

I picked this up after confirming it would fit the G chassis. I have stock Akebono breaks, SS lines, and Z1 two piece rotors on all four corners. The car already did fairly well at braking in both daily situations and tracked. I did notice the firewall flex a little. The brace definitely gave a firmer feel to the pedal. Not talking insane change, but it was noticeable firming up of the pedal.

I didn't install it myself as I was at Z1 and they offer too while I was having my FUCAs looked at, but looking at it installed I would imagine it will give people with big hands or not a huge collection of tools a good session of cussing.

Overall I would highly recommend it to those that want a solid brake feel and round out having a good brake setup.

Did you install it before writing this review?

It was installed the day before, so yes it was installed before the review. Not sure how I would review it not being installed, lol. Apologies if it was worded that way; i edited the post to make more sense.

So this does fit the G37 coupe? I didn't see it listed on their website.

I have this on my sedan.

It's a complete bitc* to install. Based on the instructions, it looks like the Z has slightly different brake and AC hard lines. Nonetheless, it does provide a slightly firmer brake pedal.

Now that you have had it installed for a little while, any long term thoughts or reviews? I wouldn't mind having this, brakes can always be better

I emailed them about it - they confirmed that it does.

It is however, a massive pain to install and have yet to find a way to do it. LOL

It fits - as in the part correctly uses the holes available as on the 370Z and braces the correct part on the brake master cylinder. Once installed, it will work as intended.

However, due to my hands being a normal size, the compartment of the brace, the location of the hard lines coming off the master cylinder, the orientation of the bolts holding the brace to the car, and not having every possible tool available to me, is making the installation difficult.

Ah I see, thanks for making it clearer!

Wonder what a shop would charge to do it?
