I have a '10 G37X Sedan with 19" coupe wheels. Akebono calipers ready to put on. My goals are to make it what Infiniti didn't.
I've been studying all the brake options out there. I think slotted or drilled rotors would look silly. So my options are limited. Basically down to EBC vs Centric premium rotors. You guys have any thoughts? They are both around $400 for the set, give or take. My biggest concern is quality and not developing a rust ring in six months.

Looks like the best bet for the money is Centric high carbon blanks. Then have them frozen!

Those should hold up well, if you notice any rusting after 6+ months you could always take a wire brush to them and shoot them w/ a couple coats of VHT Flameproof, just mask off 90% of the pad contact area so you won't get excess on the pads.
Check to see if they make Hawk 5.0 pads for your application, they get some of the best reviews for aggressive street use but they're not out for all G applications AFAIK.

Thanks. How bout them Bronco's? Manning's a class act.

The plan is to paint the edge way before they start rusting, because they will for sure.

I'll have to research the Hawk pads. I'm not looking for something that doesn't work when cold, or groans a lot. Thats my job.

I painted my hats and outer edges w/ VHT Flameproof about a year ago and they still look
Hopefully they make those 5.0 pads for your G, If I was still running Infiniti brakes I'd use them.
Hopefully Manning will retire, can't write a better script.

Just in general it's better to avoid drilled, unless you "NEED" the look.

I actually like the looks of a nice shiny smooth brake rotor without all the fancy art work. More doesn't mean better!
