Thumbs up Z1 Motorsports stainless braided flexible brake lines on '13 G37S sedan 6spd.

This is a pretty basic part so I will keep the review short this time. My car has the Sport package with the 4/2pot Akebono calipers.

INSTALLATION & FIT: The parts appear to be of good quality and simplify the design of the stock lines. As a result they do free up a little space, especially on the rear calipers. Installation was easy, but do not attempt this if you are not familiar with the corrosiveness of brake fluid or how to bleed the air out of your brake lines. Obviously wear safety goggles as brake fluid is about the last thing on earth you want in your eye.

PERFORMANCE: The brakes feel much better toward the end of their travel. No more slop and a much more solid brake pedal. They actually feel a little soft on initial application compared to how solid they feel toward the end of the pedal travel. I may update this as the car sees some track days.

OVERALL: Definitely a worthwhile upgrade if you want more solid pedal feel with the brake and they are fairly cheap to boot.

Do you have an update on these yet? Interested to hear how they fared on the track?

The lines work well and take away the spongy pedal feel. We don't have track days in WI in the cold so those will have to wait until the spring, but I am sure they will do fine. The bigger test of the brakes on track days will have to do with the track pads and tires I pick out. I think they will do just fine too as I think I will end up going with the same brand & model of tire and brake pad as I have in the past on my last car or two.

Thanks. I'm about to have my calipers powder coated, so figured I'd change some other things while there. Might as well do the lines for the cost v. results.

Oh yeah, definitely good bang for the buck with these lines if you have track days in your future. Good time to put some good high temp fluid in too. I have used Motul RBF600 for years in many track cars and have yet to boil the fluid.

Hey 4DR, sorry to bump an old thread but you are one of the few people I can find with a 2013 G37 and stainless lines.

I purchased these lines, which look very similar to the ones from Z1 you have a pic of above. 4 banjo bolts total.

Did you experience the same issue as #27 in this thread? Seems that for G37s with a production date of 6/2012 or later (which includes ALL 2013 models), the front brake lines do not use banjo bolts for connection to the caliper.

Thanks for your help on this!

Sorry, it was a long time ago so my memory is a little fuzzy. I think there may have been some clips I did not reuse, but I don't remember having any real issues with the installation. Did you try installing them yet?

Hey man, no worries. As long as the lines you installed were the same as the ones in the pic you posted in post #1, then I should be fine since my lines look identical. I will take off the wheel and check today just to be sure. Haven't installed anything yet.
