These are back up, but still a great deal vs stock or even used Ak's.....

OMG, so much orange peel! That's unacceptable, IMO.

True, but I'd want them for the increase in stopping power, which adding steal lines and good pads will
allow.

I would tell anyone not to get these. Had one rear freeze up after about a year. They did warranty it though. One of my fronts had it where the pad wouldn't release the pads all the way. Ordered a new set from Amazon and decided to install after the return period had ended. It was manufactured wrong and the pads wouldn't fit correctly inside the calipers. Long story short, Powerstop sent me 3 more sets that were manufactured wrong with the same issue, even after I had talked to someone in product development, sent them videos and pics of the issue, and asked could they have someone personally check the calipers before they sent them to me. After the 3rd set they ignored my emails and calls for over a month. Had to contact the ceo of Powerstop to finally get a good set. Took over 2 months. Their pads are good but I'm not dealing with their rotors or calipers again.

No issues with mine, going on 2 years with them. Also - mine were nowhere NEAR that orange-peely. I might have a pic somewhere.

Question

Do I need different brackets from the standard brakes on a 2013 G37X sedan or are these simple bolt ons? (other than stell braided lines and new pads)

Bolt ons, you'll just have to cut the dust shields.
